Art and Teri,
We’ve stayed at the Mission Bay RV resort about 4 times over the last several years (not in the Prevost yet).
It is very close to the city and has great bay views. There is an excellent bike/walking trail if you like that kind of stuff. The RV Park is just north of Sea World.
The spaces are a little tight but you just can’t beat the location.
Good luck and have fun in San Diego! (one of my favorite cities)

Campland on the Bay and Mission Bay RV Park are both good locations and both terribly expensive but then it’s San Diego! Easy in and out in both parks. Silver Strand State Beach is also one of my favorites but no hook ups and I believe reservations are required.
There are a number of other parks in the area but not as close to San Diego.

Friend of mine stayed at Campland and he said it was nice, so we will probably stay at Campland or Mission Bay RV or check with ELK’s in ChulaVista

You can see Campland across the bay from Mission Bay RV park. I was told that families gravitate to Campland as I think they cater more to families.
Check out ‘www.rvparkreviews.com’ and see what people are saying about parks in the area. That’s my go-to place to get a feel what people say who stayed in the various campgrounds.
Safe travels,

Always heard the Mission Bay is tight and awful. Try the one in Chula Vista. Next to marina, nice restaurant and easy drive into town. Has bike path you can ride all the way into the Silver Strand side of. Coronado. Nice place, grass and sites are relatively roomy

Chula Vista RV resort is definitely the best park in the San Diego area. Unfortunately it is closing around 2/1 to make way for a new hotel and convention center. They are supposed to build a new park nearby. However nothing has been started yet.

My dad & mom always went to Chula Vista RV Park and they said is was nice but I heard they were closing. Has anyone gone to the Elks in Chula Vista??
