“I got used to right click to copy and paste I am not used to having to push 6 key to inset a simple link into my posts.”

I may have to learn a new system. lighting

    Hish”

    Thank you.

The link in your previous post is working. I could not get Gil’s link to work. I think I may try those even though they ship from China since you received yours. Bob gave me one with warm light a couple of years ago and it is great. I ordered some bright white ones and if that is all the lighting we had we would be bumping into walls. They are very dim even though they have 24 light chips.

Edit: I have never ordered from a Chinese shipper before because so many others have had problems. I odered 100 of these just now and I will let you know how they work around the 1st of April. I think I have about 25 fixtures that take these type bulbs so I may have 50 extra too.

I would have to agree with the merits of a single holding tank.

This decision is after owning a plastic coach and an Eagle bus conversion that we purposely installed separate grey and black holding tanks, thinking that was the way to go.

Speaking from experience, the solids tend to settle and you have to flush the black tank. Not needed with the one combined tank. I will admit we had a gravity commode in the previous two and now have upgraded to Headhunter in this bus. The Headhunter does almost macerate the solids and adds allot of water, and may do better in a separate tank system. I think the simplicity of the single tank is still a plus.

MM…..Jumped on my 6 speed bike with analog brakes to solve the jake-brake question.

Checked the Marathon you drove yesterday finding the bus is equipped with a Jake brake, 2 speed. Switch has been moved onto steering wheel right side. Very easy access at this location.

With the Allision trans question I usually drive in the performance mode.

When on long cruises without major hill climbs… I’ll push the econ. button

That way with slight hills it will stay in gear longer before a down shift. Another thing and I’am guessing most drivers stay in the performance mode (with-out red light). I prefer to drive watching RPM manually dropping a gear before RPM’s lug the engine.

I agree with Gary. I do NOT have one. I have the 3M film on the front. It won’t stop everything, but seems to work fine for most stuff. I make it a point not to tailgate other vehicles, and that also helps. To me the bra is just one more thing to maintain and put on and remove.

Save your money for other things.

Hey Kevin if you are going to the rally at Lazy days you can get one made up there. Wade rv that is a sub contractor at lazy days made one for us for around 500 bucks. One word of warning. Be specific as to what you want and where you want the snaps and STAY RIGHT THERE while they are doing it. I left to get breakfast and they put the snaps in the worst spot they couldhave. I couldnt open my door. They did make it right after I spoke to them but you can avoid the problem by staying right there. Black is the only color option .

Looks just like the ones I have had in for over 2 years.. Don’t remember # but when I built coach I did 100% led. used some with prongs on back also.. Fwiw also liked so much I replaced all my landscape lites with them–sure stopped all that bulb changing.. Never understood the price converters were charging??? One point I found that in some cases for some unknown reason they were polarity sensative.. I don’t know elect that well but if you get one that don’t work check the fixture feed for plus -minus… Just what I learned from hands on. Bob

If it looks good and feels rite. check the basic things out and realize you have Prevost support for the bus part and it is pre egr(a plus in my books) Go for it !! The house systems are basic to all coaches. the electronics mostly sharred or available somewhere in crossover industry.. More likely with a smaller converter than the big ones who seem to make it where you need to go back to them for builder specfic items.. I would go for it —if it fits your needs..Bob

I was not aware at the time I bought the Optima that Lifeline made starting batteries. I have not yet replaced the generator start battery in the present coach, but now that I have been chastized it appears I will be obligated to make sure it is Lifeline.

Those are the antenna bases for the CB. If you live a clean life and you have been good you might find the access plates inside the coach that when removed will let you get at the mounting nuts. Then at your option remove the antenna bases or loosen them and put some sealer behind them and retighten them.

Your floor plan is different than mine was so I can’t offer advice as to where the access might be.

I could not get our local glass company interested in the reseal, but they did pass on the following resource for anyone with the fogging issue that wants to get it repaired while in Florida, there is a company that is devoted to these repairs on all coaches and busses.

    Suncoast Designers

    15050 Labor Place

    Hudson, FL 34667

    Phone: (727) 868 – 2773

They have RV hookup while you wait for the window repair. Reservation is required. They are booked solid through end of March.

Prevost XL drivers slider repair = $225

    Bill,

I asked if they had the smaller “Token” style window available but they do not have any special windows. She said it could probably be made if the coach was there for fitment, but I know you are on the other coast.

Jon has given me some confidence so I am going to tackle ours myself since I am going to remove it anyway to paint.

Many thanks to all for the great replies and advice. Jon, I appreciate the test you ran and since you’ve provided the results I’ll try to avoid running that one. If I do, that may be one of my best kept secrets!

    Thanks to all. Paul

Thanks Peter. We were just through WY in October and will likely not be back that way for a year or so. Just keep me in mind.
