If you want a true king then take a look at Vantare bedroom super-slides. We like the king bed because all three of the kids like to climb in with us, and Mom likes to watch TV in the bedroom with the kids on the bed.
All the air operated items that Jon listed are electrically powered on my ’04 Vantare including the extendable kitchen table and the extendable bench seat for the dinette J-couch, and there are buttons by the pocket doors. (Vantare doesn’t use slide air seals, but my genny air bags require air). I find that the control systems are smoother with electric. Air, being compressible, is difficult to control smoothly, slowly, consistently, and at a constant velocity through-out it’s stroke. Plus, there’s the issue with leaks and single point failures (air pump).

Wow, in particular I like how your stairs look. Tell me more about what you did there?

I have a Eagle I just sold a 2002 H -45 and we are looking at 2008 Liberty in Texas I want to stay away from the 2010 and after Prevost or others I have owned several Prevost,MCI and Eagles over the years and I like the Prevost but Eagles are a classic and I probably will always have one around no matter what I own

Anyone attending the Rally that has video experience and would like to help with the Seminar taping? We would need more of a professional video so we could re-produce on the site.

Brian, if you have to replace glued fittings, try dry fitting things together and putting a line/mark on each side of the joint lining up with each other, then when you glue you have an idea of where the 2different fittings need to be to line up. Then take it apart and glue it for final assembly. You should have time to tweak things but this increases the comfort feeling for success. It has worked for me many times in the past.

Jack,In
talking with Justin at Lifeline, there are several possibilities. He
said the way the terminals are built into the battery and then
covered makes it very unusual for any leakage, but it has happened.
The leakage usually shows quickly, but since yours are buried like
mine, it’s hard to inspect them.Another
problem is stress on the terminals by pulling with the cables, not an
issue here because Liberty does a good job with sizing and cable
runs. If heat is the problem, he said all batteries would be
affected, not just one or a few.145
degree’s is hot, no doubt about that and could contribute to leakage.
Like Joel, I put new fans in and went to a thermostat rather than the
fans running 24/7 and failing.The
terminals on the 8DL’s are a shiny copper like a penny. He said if
heat is the issue, the terminals tend to turn a black/blue in color.I
wanted to get you information direct from the factory and no doubt
others will have their own opinions, but at least you have the
benefit of knowing their thoughts on the corrosion and possible
reasons. -
Patrick,
I sent you an e-mail about the lights.

Don’t do it! The costs are off the chart, the problems are endless (search air leaks), the service locations are extremely limited and the resale value drops faster than the stock market in 2000!
OK, I love my bus and I will likely not buy anything else if I ever replace this one, but the reality is that these things are extremely expensive to own and operate and you just have to be willing to bite the bullet in order live in this kind of comfort.

Tom,
My 98 Liberty has a panel switch for a 24 v battery charger. I have been leaving it on. Are you saying it should be left off?

Sheesh, does it ever end.. Another party at Pelican. This is the annual Preserve Block Party and what a great time.
First class transportation…

There is a flexible ducting going up through that compartment and the bus heat conglomeration is in the bay below. We have never noticed those panels warming up when we run the bus heat and we do that quite a bit since we are mostly in winter weather December through the last of February.

It can be confusing. The first left after the gas station, at the light, goes to Lazy Days and the Crown Club. You will pass through the light and make the next left.
