    Wow.

I just looked up the weight of a ~20-ft pontoon boat and came up with 4,000 lb. That truck is probably in the 7k neighborhood. Putting even 3k lb on top of it that high probably doubles the center of gravity height of the unloaded pickup. The suspension of that truck obviously isn’t set up with the roll stiffness for that kind of CG height… and certainly not on the front axle.

I don’t want to trivialize water in the fuel, but my Racor on the 94 would sometimes light the water indicator after a heavy rain or powerwash of the bus. It was intermittent, and would go out in a few minutes. I attributed it to moisture in the connection at the Racor.

Harry if they replaced that section of stainless below the light you should still see some type of tubing or such inside the wheel well just behind that panel. Have you called the previous owner? He may have a story for you. Don’t be afraid to reach out to previous owners. You have the list Jim made right?

The simplest thing to do is put more tilt in the plate holding the outlets, so you have a straight upward shot to plug into.

Davy, i searched “Prevost high idle troubleshooting” on yahoo and found an old thread on pog. It was a different problem as in not inop but erratic op. They talk about the ground on a specific relay as well as a couple of other things. Don’t know if you have seen it but maybe it would help. I would post a link if I knew how.

Ps. The bus was a 96.

“Codes” in the context of an inspection is the Detroit / Allison dealer plugs their reader (computer) into the coach and they can see if there are any active faults, and in some cases a history, such as an over temp condition in the past.

They are looking at the health of the engine and transmission.

In the case of the transmission, depending on vintage a report can be generated that can even provide an indication of the wear on the clutches.

Harry the easiest thing to do is re-attach the mounting plate so that the two plugs are pointing down, that way the power cord only has to come in an straight up, no bends.

I have the same compressor as the Gadget Guru and am am very happy with it. It’s small but it is anything but a light weight. I am at 115 on the steers. It also a good size to carry in the Jeep if I want/need to air down temporarily.

I know that some of you follow the progress of the house for Odie in other places and I appreciate that. I am a little slower posting updates here and it is time that I do.

We have not been home for a couple of months so there has not been much progress on the house. I finished a few things the last time we were home for three days and I have pictures below of that. Right after we left home, Duke energy hooked up the electric.

Last visit home we installed all the LED trims for the can lights and all of the high work that needed a scaffolding to complete, including the pendant lights over the island and the ceiling fan.

I am including the next two pictures so that you can see the ceiling in the kitchen and living room. Odie is shooting for a beach cottage look, so I put lap siding made from plywood on the high walls and recessed into the trusses.

This picture shows the ceiling well.

You can see one of the walls on the right side in this one and a little on the left.

My father in law is a painter and he really made the ceiling, walls and cabinets “pop” with his paint work.

Staying with the simple beach cottage look, Odie wanted painted 1×4 as case and base. All of that is completed but not caulked or finish painted yet. The pocket doors turned out nice.

I know this is not bus related but it is being built by people that live in a bus for a girl that lives on a bus and has lived in an RV way over half her life!

I’m liking Jon’s idea of replacing belt bags with metal tensioners my 4 way valve at regulator is leaking and it is not repairable and Prevost wants $250 for that valve ouch!

I know that Marathon started putting on two 12v pumps instead of the 110v pump, but I thought that was more recent than 2006.

I wonder what was in Dan and Judy Hilger’s coach. That could be a perfect match.
