Richard, There are two schools of thought regarding operating A/C units through the inverters or powering them via the generator.
It needs to be understood both ways will work. Both ways are going to use similar amounts of fuel, either to feed the generator or to power the added load of the alternator. So except for that equivalence there are some diferences.
Inverters are going to take power from the batteries when they do not have incoming voltage from shore or generator power. The batteries only have a certain amount of stored power so obviously when you are driving that power is being replaced by the alternator. Depending on if you have a 12 or 24 volt coach your Cruisairs are going to pull 130 amps (12V) or 65 amps (24V) and that is the load on the alternator.
I’m guessing you have a 24V DC system and a 50DN alternator. If I am correct you are asking the alternator to provide 195 amps of charging current to your batteries. That is just for the Cruisairs. The alternator has about 270 amp capacity and anything over 1/2 rated current is likely going to add heat to the alternator, and it will also add heat to the inverters. If you have other loads while driving, like the refrigerator, water pump, microwave, coffee maker, etc. you are adding more loads and more heat.
As long as you can get rid of that heat you are OK, and that includes the heat in the inverters from the loads. Make sure the 50DN has the oil supply service bulletin taken care of and make sure your inverters have ample cool air supply and the fans are working.
The generator powers the Cruisairs differently. It supplies power to the inverters which they sense, and instead of inverting they become battery chargers for your house batteries, and that incoming power is also passed through the inverters directly to the electric panel without loading the alternator, batteries or inverters. The generator is designed to easily handle the electric loads, not only of your Cruisairs, but of anything else electric in your coach and it will do it at a rate I would guess to be about .4 GPH. At today’s discounted fuel prices that is about $.75 to $.90 per hour.
The choice of how to power the Cruisairs is yours. A whole lot of folks run theirs via the inverters, and then there are some like me who will never run an A/C through inverters.

Any attempt on that Fakebook site to caution against what the masses were saying only opens you up to grief and BS, no way I was getting into that conversation. This guy went to a truckstop had the bead seated, aired up an away he goes.

Any idea how/where the critter got in. Found leftovers from mice in my coach from the previous owner. Thankfully haven’t found any damage, I have sense devoted a lot of time closing up a lot of small holes

Chad,
I’ve been using the AT&T Mobile Internet for over a year with good results and it does have the router hookup. Mobile Internet

I think Bob may or may not be dead on. The Prevost 12/24 volt chassis battery system can have ample 24V power to spin the engine, but if the 12 volt side of the battery system is low the bus will not start.
Usually when that is the case you have a battery balance light lit up on the dash. That was not mentioned so in my comments above I did not think the problem was related to battery power.

Have you also done a restart on the Crestron?

David, Last week Loves changed its discount to 16 cents per gallon. In the meantime, TA/Petro upped it discount to match the old Loves discount.
The EFS app will show you the card price at stations near you if you have your card registered on the app. In Baytown, TX, my price at Baytown Travel center is $2.509, at Loves it is $2.129 and at TA/Petro it is $1.358. These stations are at the same exit on I-10.
Hope this helps.

If I have had crunching that was caused by dog bones I never noticed, but I have not been pleased with the red urethane dog bone bushings and have replaced all with the black rubber bushings similar to or just like the ones used on shocks.
They not only do not disintegrate rapidly once they begin to crack, they seem to last a lot longer.
If you have the red bushings and you suspect them, get a few handsful from Prevost or a truck parts house and use them in place of the urethane bushings.

I have a 1998 Prevost with a radiator fan Superior Gear Box. I drained the 90wt oil and replaced with Mobil 634 140wt. Still noisy on cold start up. Quiets down some after warm up. Is this normal or should I look for a new Gear Box? Darrell

Jon,Truk,
Aren’t Samsung refrigerators confused by our Trace Inverters ?
Jim Beaueax,
Great to hear that video I post saved your passengers from personal injury and damage to your bus.

The pan liner is what I used and it is holding up fine. 10k on It and no problem.
