Thanks everyone. We ended up punting on Charleston and ended up at Hilton Head Motorcoach Resort. This place gets a thumbs up.

A crank rope might work better.

I think if changing batteries is needed (after checking them individually) I would insure the charging system and equalizer are working. If the equalizer is not functioning the batteries will not get charged properly.

I’m probably one of the few that think this…so I’m prepared to take some heat for this post. But I’m quite impressed with the majority of the components installed on a Prevost. Sure there are, and always will be, room for improvement. But the same can be said for all of the leaders in any industry. Considering the robustness, handling, ride quality & overall solid feel of a Prevost, I’d say Prevost is still the benchmark in coach manufacturing. If one of the main complaints, on this forum, is a less than ideal side mirror motor, I’d say that’s not too bad. My coach is 15 years old. She still glides down the road, (my) mirrors don’t shake, and has pretty much called for only standard maintenance to be performed. That’s way more than I can say for virtually any other manufacturer out there. I returned today from a 4 month trip in the coach around the country. And there was nothing I had to do to the coach that couldn’t be addressed with a small tool kit. That, to me, speaks to the quality of the items and manufacturing process of a Prevost.
Ok. I’m ready for the heat. Fire away!

Two years ago we had problems with our original equipment Splendide and replaced it with a new one from Camping World which just happened to beon sale. The new one is vented as was the original but what a difference. This new one actually dries the clothes!
Spending your money or mine, I would get the Splendide. -
I don’t think H’s are hard to keep cool. Today was a good example for us.
We have four roof 13,500 btu units (the volumn of air is quite nice).
Craig and I have been in the desert for a few weeks. The Liberty has been in the storage garage where we have no air and only a 30 amp plug (no air).
When we pulled the coach out of the garage, the inside was 105 degrees (approaching 111 today in Palm Springs). Once out of the garage, I turned on all four roof airs along with the dash air and the aux unit. Everything in the motorhome was hot so it took a little while. In about 3 hours, we were at about 74 degrees inside with the outside temp at 95 and falling as we were driving west.
We drove the coach towards the coast to Prevost Mira Loma to have a sensor checked in the rear end (dash light came on). At almost 6 PM, the outside temp is 90 degrees and I have only two units going. Temp fell to 73 degrees inside and it’s nice and cool. We are in the sun still, too windy for the awnings.
Not sure why you are having trouble keeping the ‘H’ cool.
Safe travels to you and Larry.

Go to this website and click the PDF link to the all DC Electric Toilets.
It will open a PDF file that show all the parts and the part numbers for the LF220.
Look at page 4 and in the drawing it is item # i.
Thats the hopper that bolts to the bottom of the toilet and then you set it over the hole in the floor, try no to mess with the hopper, they are very hard to reinstall and not leak.
I had to finally just silicone mine to get it to stop leaking, the guys at the factory told me that was tdhe easy thing to do.
Good luck.

Thanks Joe, appreciate response.

M&C,
So your CC has no slides, right? And, full-timing, you don’t find that too cramped?

At Foley we collected a hand full of personal ‘Bus’ cards….owners had a picture of their bus along with
names, address, email, telephone, etc. We’re in the process of doing the same so to be ready for the next rally!!!!

There are a lot of LED gauge bulbs here : http://www.superbrightleds.com/cat/instrument-cluster-gauge/
The site also lists the lumens of each bulb and that might help to determine the brightness you need.

Marius: Do you still need help? It was 28 degrees here today, good for outdoor pictures. Tomorrow and next week in single digits and teens. Did you get a picture yet?

I would be interested in reading studies related to idling especially concerning the issues you raise. Most opinions I have read against idling are coming more from the stand point of saving fuel or cutting noise polution and emissions issues.
My thinking on this issue was framed by entertainer coach owners. They were my only Prevost source before Prevost Community. They told me any stops less than two hours, they let it idle. My cut off time on that has been an hour.
They also let it idle 15-20 minutes after a several hour hard run. I generally do the same after a long day run. Usually by the time I have pulled into a church parking lot, unhooked the car, looked over the situation and manuvered into the place I need to be, that 15-20 minute span is long gone so I shut down when parked.
I have been known on Really cold nights, like say below 20 with a lot of wind, to let it idle while I slept 4-5 hours. No worries in the morning so I sleep better the few hours I am there.
Again, my perspective was shaped by entertainer coach owners and they are admittedly not experts on Detroit engines. Although they are very sensitive to the costs of doing business, both in short term fuel cost and long term maintenance and equipment costs. They can tell you exactly what it costs to roll each wheel down the road per mile.
I am open to learn.
