The difference in specs is in the BMS part of the batteries. I like the extensive warning and protection that the BMS in our batteries provide. Bluetooth is a bonus.

Cost to our door was equal to or less than that of Lifelines. Availability was immediate, Lifelines were on back order. This made perfect economic since.

Our house batteries live in the bowels of the bus. I’ve improved how well they’re insulated from temperature swing influences. I’m monitoring the battery area temperature. There is about a 5*F swing at the batteries when the outside air temp swings 35*F. On a recent morning it got down to 24*F here. The battery area didn’t drop below 46*F. Even though I added automatic thermostat-controlled heat for the house batts, there has been no need for it. Not even close. But never say never.

Refreshing to hear businesses out there are still providing service after the sale with a true interest in customer care & satisfaction.

I have had a couple of problems caused by Prevost Winter Garden, FL where they have stepped up to the plate and resolved the issues at their time and expense costing them days of work and thousands of $.

Mistakes happen, it’s how they are handled that counts.

If the chassis batteries need a charger that can be compared to using a band aid on a brain tumor. Chassis batteries should go months without a charge and spin the motor over without hesitation.

If your coach can’t do that you have bad batteries or a phantom load on the chassis batteries.

Jon I am new to posting on Prevost Community, and although you have forgotten way more than I will ever know about busses, to me your delivery is what is overbearing. I agree with Bill, him posting that he is in trouble like many others that come to this site don’t want to feel like they are getting slapped on the hand, instead please give us a hug and help us out. There are many folks on here like yourself that have owned many conversions and your experience is invaluable. That is why we are here for the Prevost Community.

    Dick,

Can you explain how outfits benefit from having a credit card with their name on it? For example does Amazon get a portion of the fees charged by the credit card company on an Amazon Visa? Thanks, jeff

Like those Art. Used these which are two 6 x 6 x 48 inches with 1 1/2 inch board on top. 1 / 2 inch lag bolts. Overall gives me 7 inches of height.

This box controls the Drivers AC Fans below the heater coil and evaporator. It is protected by and internal fuse. When you turn the dial on you fan speed control it is going through this box.

This is a rare and expensive component. When I bought the my bus one of the Drivers AC fans went out because of broken heater hose flooded it. It also took out the board in this box. Putting the passenger side fan in is a PITA, the drivers side impossible.

When I put new fan in bus I added 5 AMP fuse to each of the positive wires on the two fans going to this box. You can tell if the box is getting power by just turning ignition key to accessory position, turn AC switch to on, and then turn your rheostat control and listen for a click happening where box is at. There are two large relays that control these fans. Blow this box and your looking at $7000 to $9000 from Prevost if they even have one. here are picture of the box internals

First, let me say Andrew is a work in progress. He is probably selling as many Prevost’s and Newell’s for other people as anyone through his youtube channel. The fact he has never owned a Prevost does not prevent him from being successful at what he does.

So on to Kyle. My wife and I have a winter home in Tucson so we talked with Kyle and took our 02 Liberty out of storage and on to San Tan Valley about 90 minutes north of us. I was really surprised at what he is doing with a little 5 acre farm. I don’t know of anyone that would have two series 60’s on mobile supports waiting to be installed at the same time he is doing minor to complete remodels all in the same space. He started leasing his own fleet to rock bands so he knows what it takes to keep them on the road. Covid put a temporary stop to that so he dove into the remod business with a vengeance .

I needed some mechanical work so he started with upper and lower A arms, 365 upgrade, fixed my OTR so it actually cools (even in Az), new frig, recovered front seats and sofa. New tile from front to back and other things I have forgotten. I found him easy to work with and helpful anytime I call. Here is the Liberty:
