The relay is in the gray box over the engine. Use breaker/fuse/relay key on back door, but I think it’s #74. I’ll confirm tomorrow.

I was wrong!! (Don’t tell Karen!!) 😉 Pull R76 to eliminate your brake lights coming on when your jake engages.

Marius, I couldn’t find EHP10’s you may have better luck, went with EHM11’s. They are the same dimension as the 10’s, the main difference is the engine coolant fittings are on the front instead of the back.

From your description you are using the coach similar to how you would use the family car for a business trip which means you are entitled to treating the expenses the same way you would with your car. That is how we have used all our coaches and we have never had the deductions related to the coach even questioned in almost 25 years of claiming deductions for the coaches.

The only area you need to be concerned is if you use the coach as a business tool, whether it is used to haul a race car trailer or used as a mobile office, or even a place to conduct business. The police are now alert to folks doing that and when that is happening the police seem to be looking for the driver to have a CDL or the coach to be licensed as a commercial vehicle with all the requirements that go along with that.

Tim, for us, it happened one time about eight years ago. Seems like we had about fifty gallons left on a 298 gallon tank. Our mpgs have been reliably seven and typically refuel after about 1650 miles and we do not get the light. Don’t have any experience as to the level we need for the genny.

Andy, been there, done that. … Fort de Soto is a beautiful location and strictly going by size, a Prevost can get in there. But, the access roads are very narrow and the turns into the site are 90 degrees. That can be very tight due to the vegetation. Getting a reservation at this park is very difficult. Due to its location, they are booked, booked and booked some more.

it is also not closer to St. Pete than Clearwater or, for that matter, the KOA on Madeira Beach. Between the 3 locations, you are looking at a minimum of 15 minutes to as long as 30 minutes drive to get into St. Pete.

    Diane,

Thank you for the clarification, we have gone through the same steps. We had the computer updated with the respective recall but they had to do it twice, so we are still gun shy. I also had to install the battery discount and it’s another step in the process that you don’ t want to forget. Wish they had told us about the fuse.

Like you we had a 2007 Chevy Tahoe and it was very easy to tow. Suzy wishes we had the Tahoe back. A new vehicle is not all its cut out to be. especially when you assume that it will be the same from the same.

PS: The LED tail lights were another issue we didn’t think about till the information center in the dash started acting up. There again the diodes worked on the previous vehicle but not on the 2014.

    Safe travels.

    Bryan,

No, we haven’t yet needed to chain up yet. Our newest coach came with new container with Auto Sox. We have carried cable chains for years

This year we were planning on installing snow tread tires on our 1992 Prevost Beaver XL 40 but we sold it in September. Our new coach we bought, a 2000 XL 40 Marathon received the drive tires I desired. They are the Michelin XDN2 Grip 2’s.

Checking with several charter companies in town I was curious what snow treads they were using.

The XDN 2 was their choice,. They are getting mileage out of them we drive in about 5-6 years. So they’ll be aging out when we need to buy new ones. ,

Years ago, with our bus company in the Yellowstone National Park area, we routinely installed heavy link chains on our busses, especially going over to Jackson Hole away from Idaho, via Teton Pass . I had it down to about twenty minutes

From the sounds of next weeks weather forecast, we maybe driving in snow. Will let you know Bryan what we use.

    Hey Tim,

I’m not with the coach or I would look for the name, but we use a small propane grill. It’s all stainless closes up like a suit case with a handle. Also has a cover. Works great and didn’t cost a ton.

Great post and with pictures, Steve. I like the hole idea to save the dust covers.

Your bus is 1999, do you think all original ? If so what mileage do you have ?
