I think Scott should answer , but do not put to much paper down there if you are dropping the kids off at the pool one flush will do ,but if you are dropping off the Brady Bunch two flushes will do, I have never had that problem in 11 years with one

For the benefit of other Tecma Owners. I will elaborate on what I think Peter is saying.

You can clog them with too much paper. Just ask my 13 year old daughter. We had just left Marathon in Eugene and she told Me dad it won’t flush. Leon walked me through a few things on the phone and when that didn’t work back to Marathon we did. Took it all apart and yep just a massive amount of paper… I now know how to take it apart and fix it if it ever happens again. This was about 6 months into our 14 month trip and I told my daughter if it happens again she gets to clean it .. Problem solved

Note to Tecma owners,,

Keep bathroom rug handy and scoot your heiney around on rug like a puppy dog. Solves the problem of toliet paper and Tecma’s.

Problem solved:

Skip all that stuff about adding enzymes, blue toilet chemical – slippery soaps and/or hot water, etc etc.

First shut off all water pumps and water supplying the toilet, just turn off all shore water. Drain water from your sink to release the pressure to the toilet. You want to control all water flow to the toilet with your hose. Then bring a clean hose in through the closest window.

I Just used a garden hose with a plastic quick squeeze hand nozzle, that you can quickly turn off and on. As the unit flushes and the grinder comes on use a lot of pressure from your hose nozzle, right as the grind begins. Squirt during the first grind, then pause and wait for the second grind- hit the water nozzle again. Quit after grinding stops, leave just enough water to not flood out the bowl. My model has a fairly small door not a door style that you can even see. The nozzle needs to be just where the water exits the bowl. You can get a good angle on it and adjust the direction as needed. I had no idea what direction to shoot but it worked after about six flush cycles you could hear the grinder wasn’t bound up with paper any more.

If you you have a toilet model with a 3″ visible door be SURE to not put anything inside against where the door closes and seals between the door and the bowl. It will undoubtedly break the toilet door mechanism….
