Just got out from under the coach (yes Jon I did support the coach). Sway bar does show some wear on each side of the bushings, I assume this means the sway bar is shifting back and forth a little. But all bolts are tight on everything I could see associated with the front end.

What I did find was ALL the new parts had the rubber boots around the grease fittings completely collapsed. It took 20 – 30 pumps of a manual grease gun before the boots showed any sign of movement (I don’t mean grease coming out of the boots, just the boots starting to grow a little). I just used an entire tub of grease on the new parts.

Will be traveling again in a few days, it will be interesting to see if I get any results.

I started the bus and let it run on idle while it built air. I have to admit I did not let it run until the air built all the way up and I’m not sure now how much pressure there was before I shut it off. I just know it was above 60lb. I’m going to try to start it again and let it build up to max…Thank You

Interesting. As I think about it, there probably are two motors on each glass; one for vertical and one for horizontal. Do you know if Prevost wiring diagrams include mirrors?

I wish I could remember because I pulled the Splendide out in our 87 to make repairs a couple of times. Too long ago.

Company that made this is still in business and you can order one from them as well…Yes only is for tow wiring….As long as the wires are protected from the coach side you could remove it…

I bought a replacement for the original latch from Prevost Nashville in 2008 or 2009. I think it was about $160 or so. If I had known they were going to discontinue making them, I should have bought two!

Steve, the price for the handle is correct, I just did this in April. What Jeff said is correct, you won’t need all of the rods, and the hole will need to be modified slightly, in your picture the vertical rod on mine needed to be longer. I took the old rod cut it and cut a piece out of one of the new rods that we didn’t use and made one to fit by welding it together.

My pictures are on here from back in April.

Doug, Very sorry to hear about this interrupting your trip. Hopefully its not going to be crazy money. Just for information, I’d like to know what a repair of this size would cost if you decide to post or offer it up. Here’s to safe travels for you.

Yes it does and you dont use all the parts they send….also you have to modify the opening in the door for the handle usually…
