It’s been 4 years since we went to Quartsite, we stayed about 4 miles out of town with the Foretravel group, nice spot lot’s of room good place for the Prevost group to meet next year?? The tent stuff is OK but meeting the Prevost group would be Awesome

thanks for all the clarification.

the indoor storage i have available is climate controlled.. it’s warm in winter and cool in summer.. and it’s cheap $135/mo… it’s actually an old funiture mall in Hickory Nc that was converted to house Rv’s.. several big class A’s in there and that’s where we’ve kept our airstream for 3 yrs. i’ll just be parking the bus next to the airstream and plug into one of the 120v in the wall… there’s plenty of plugs and they are on their own breakers and are NOT gfci. (Dick also told me to find that out). I’ve done that to keep my batteries charged up on the airsteam.

since i won’t be concerned with freeze protection, i’ll focus on just “stepping down” the inverter to keep the batteries charged and maybe the fridge going. I got the coach thru Jeff Rowe and i will be taking delivery of it in a couple of weeks.

Dick Karth helped me understand some of the things i have on my coach already and this forum has been extremely helpful.

Our crestron in the salon is on but it no longer operates anything. The other four are completely dead. Do you think it would still be the power source? Can’t even get it into Liberty until mid December.

On later models there is a breaker in the bay…many are in the passenger side…Does your coach have battery disconnects for the inverters?

Seriously, we had a great time visiting with OLD friends and meeting some young ones as well. Had a wonderful time at the seminar meeting and greeting which also included some learning. Sure glad there was not a final exam, unless Jon planned on grading on a curve, or in my case, a U turn.

Kudos to Jeff and his outstanding team for all the work necessary for getting the place ready for the show and tell. Buddy and Mike Davis even changed out some of the older faded flowers to some that Kim provided to liven the place up with fall colors.

I agree with the comments on Marathon. We toured the factory two months ago, and was impressed with how they build coaches. Marathon is our favorite conversion out of the coaches we have looked at, and we are just waiting on the right one–once we sell ours, that is!

I’m not sure of the motivation or benefit, but my coach like some others has doors behind doors and drawers behind doors.

If we want to use the microwave we have to open the pair of doors just so we can open the door on the microwave. There is a cabinet in the living room (oops, I meant to say salon) that has a drawer in it, but I have to open a pair of doors to open the drawer.

My first bay has a nice three drawer cabinet. But to get to the drawers in which I carry some spares I have to open the bay door (that makes sense) then I have to fold down a door to open the drawers. If I put some catches on the drawers then I can eliminate the cover door.

In the entertainment bay I have to open the bay door which also makes sense, but to see the TV I have to open a pair of doors. I believe I might also be removing the doors that conceal the TV in the entertainment bay. That theme of having doors to open follows throughout the bays. Really? The reason I opened the bay door was to get at what is in the bay. Does it make sense to then have to open more doors to get at what I wanted in the first place? Those doors now reside on the very top of a storage shelf in my garage. The weight I saved by removing them was quite a bit.

We use a 1/2 plywood cut to fit in the opening in front of the refer. then 2×6 material screwed to the plywood. That is the correct heigth for many coaches. You can measure your height and adjust material accordingly…
