Now that I am gone, Buddy will have to take up the slack and start getting up before noon as well as stop taking all those mini-vacations all over the USA while driving other people’s coaches. Buddy is seeing the USA and not spending a dime on fuel or putting any miles on that new Merry-thong bus. (I think that is the way he pronounces it)

Did Jeff pick up the check? He always does, breakfast for his valued customers is a legit business expense. Last time I was there, he picked up the check for the whole restaurant.

Oh yeah, of course Jeff picked up the breakfast tab, anything for a tax deduction.

He even paid for Andre’s ice cream and cake. Just another of the side benefits of staying at the East Tennessee Luxury Coach RV Resort and Spa.

Tom, ask me about the Spa water I helped mop up the last day I was there.

Seriously, we had a great time visiting with OLD friends and meeting some young ones as well. Had a wonderful time at the seminar meeting and greeting which also included some learning. Sure glad there was not a final exam, unless Jon planned on grading on a curve, or in my case, a U turn.

Kudos to Jeff and his outstanding team for all the work necessary for getting the place ready for the show and tell. Buddy and Mike Davis even changed out some of the older faded flowers to some that Kim provided to liven the place up with fall colors.

Helen didn’t like driving the El Camino even though she likes to drive hot rods and stick shifts. The light El Camino and the 427 made the tires break loose, in first, second and third gear. Even 4th could make it a little squirrely, so got her a kiddie car she can handle. VW less than 3,000 pounds, stick shift, dummy key left in ignition unlocks steering, so easy hook up. Plus, being light, If I ever do like Tom or Jon and leave the steering locked, or the parking break on, maybe I can make black marks behind the bus a bit further than they did.

Does anyone know when the next maintenance seminar will be held at ETLC. Like to make plans to attend. Michael

The key to when seminars will take place is attendance. Prior to this one I think we tried twice and could not get the necessary attendance.

Just to share a little we are blessed to be able to hold these at ETLC and to tap into Jeff’s knowledge. The facility is very important because we have access to all sorts of stuff like old and damaged parts to use for show and tell and we have the ability to put one or more coaches up in the air to get into some detail on how owners need to be aware of some of what is under the coach and how the maintenance folks need to do more than drain and fill oil and squirt some grease in fittings.

But we end up costing ETLC a lot of billable hours because we occupy all the bays and he cannot do customer repairs during that time. Jeff shares in the net proceeds after we pay for meals, tables, and other expenses so we need a minimum class size to help him and to pay Tom and I an enormous amount to add to the dues money we collect.

I think if we have around 17 minimum or thereabouts we will do more seminars. A new benefit has come about because our efforts have been noticed and Prevost has done and excellent job in supporting this last seminar with people who really know their stuff so if we are to be able to tap into Prevost for technical support again we have to also be sure we have full attendance as well as time between seminars so we do not wear out our welcome.

When the demand is there we will do more seminars.
