No DC in house
When I purchased this 1995 H3-45 Vantare it had no house batteries so I had no way to check for DC house power. I have now installed new house batteries & have no power on any house circuits as well as none coming to the DC main in main panel. Side note: I checked house batteries to make sure i had good ground by meter positive on each battery to chassis. Each battery on driver side was 12 volts. Each battery on passenger side was 24 volt. Is this normal? Inverters are charging. Is there some switch, breaker, etc that I’m missing?

On later models there is a breaker in the bay…many are in the passenger side…Does your coach have battery disconnects for the inverters?

John, I have a 2000 Vantare, so it may be different from yours, however in the electrical bay just behind the tag axle on the passenger side on mine are two switches on the back wall that are large heavy duty battery cut off switches with large handles, also in that same bay there are a selection of 12 and 24 volt circuit breakers across the top. You might also check on the driver side second bay, to assure the inverter switches are positioned to ‘normal’. You might also check the inverter 12 volt circuit breaker in the water bay.
Tried to post photos, but, like Jon, I am too old to understand this fancy new technology, like smart phones that have a higher IQ then I do.

I am not a Vantare owner and have almost no knowledge of how they set up the house DC power, but chasing electric issues is always going to involve starting at the source and following it downstream to isolate the point at which it stops.
But I also know folks that are very experienced with that conversion can point to common issues, and in your case I would suggest you contact Tradewinds because they are very qualified to help Vantare owners. If you can it would not be a bad idea to plan on attending the March seminar.

Thanks guys. I will check for possible other breakers, switches, etc. I have talked a bit with Kyle @ Tradewinds as I am planning to attend that event. I of course would like to be fully functional before heading that way.

Got with Kyle this morning by phone & pictures the culprit if you will was located. The red pushpull switch needed pursasion to actuate & walla! Thanx Kyle.

Glad you got it working. I also have Kyle at Tradewinds on Speed Dial. He is your man for basement air or inverter problems on the Vantare.

Fred, I have all the same things you showed in pictures except those battery throwout levers. Good to know Kyle can help with the basement air as I’m sure it will need attention. Been playing with lights, lights, & more lights all morning now. Can’t wait till tonight to light it all up, inside & out. You’ll have to ask Kyle about my CB with auto machine gun attachment…
