My rear view Cam has audio. Turn up the volume knob and I can hear the Jake. As others have said , Try it with window open and passing some structure like an underpass or tall buildings. You should be able to feel it and hear it. Good to hear that You worked out storage with the park to have 50 A.

As others above have said, you must determine what your top rpm in each gear has. When motor attains that rpm or lower you can downshift transmission for max Jake. You DDEC II Jake is gas pedal activated. Only way I know how to describe it. Once in driver seat, motor running low idle, you can goose gas pedal quickly punching, then taking foot off it and hear Jake exhaust noise. Also, if coach is on fast idle, you can switch FI off and hear slight exhaust warble. Your two speed Jake brake offers you choice of Jake drag. Being a V-8, position one is one bank of four out of your eight cylinders. Position two gives both sides of your V-8. As I said above, unlike Series 60 engines, you can test your Jake by punching quickly your gas pedal without moving. Do it with driver window open or have you wife stand outside when quickly goosing gas pedal. Goose pedal with Jake switch off then again with switch on. Listen to hear more exhaust noise when it’s switched on. You may also see tach slow faster with Jake on. All this is done stationary

Rocky, these items would be “Very Helpful” if you drive the rear of your coach off in a ditch.

Thanks Jon, never noticed that plate. It says:

    Gross vehicle weight rating 45,000

    Steer axle 14,500. 105psi cold

    Drive axle 22,500. 95psi cold

    Tag axle 11,000. 85psi. cold

So the sum of the individual axle ratings is > than GVW.

I had the driver’s side window, only the fixed part, fog couple years ago. Did what Jon said, cut the sikaflex around the perimeter of the dual pane and removed it. Then separated the two panes by cutting the caulk between the panes. Once separated cleaned the remaining residue with 3M adhesive remover. Took one piece to the local residential glass shop who could use it as a pattern to make one out of laminated for eighty bucks. But decided to just put one of the original panes back in. So I ended up spending only twelve bucks for a tube of sikaflex, and Prevost was the cheapest place to get it.

The conclusion is to have a radiator shop take the new radiator and remove the top “tank” from the radiator. We are then cutting off the neck of the hose connection that is incorrectly positioned, sealing it and then repositioning the new “neck” at the position on the top tank where it fits.

We will then pressure test for leaks, etc.

    It will now fit.

We are home free with a minor adjustment. It is self-evident that older radiators are not kept in stock. We got a new one that was close and adapted it.

Thanks to everyone for the help.

    We are done.

Wow, did you notice how good my bus makes those folks look?

He Triple, how can my bus be lonely with all those good folks there to pay homage? I sure hope Jeff put out the donation Jar! As though I’d see any of it! But that’s a great shot Triple and I sure thank you for posting it! I love that bus!!!

As far as paying off Jeff that is something of a dilemma. I’ve been saving my checks from the local Burger King where I’ve been flipping burger for the last few months. My hope is my burger money combined with tearing up in his office will work for me!

Have you noticed that Jeff’s profile shot and that of the Burger KING share a real likeness? That’s going to cost me and what a terrible time for my backspace key to go out…

While that video was shocking, it’s a stark reminder to all drivers about the perils of distracted driving. Personally, after nearly 40 years and owning multiple bikes, I stopped riding motorcycles five years ago as I was seeing a rapid increase in distracted drivers and erratic driving patterns on the highways.

I fully understand why the Lawyers pulled that video offline. I was surprised it stayed up more than a few hours.

On a somewhat related note, I can only wonder if the Prevost Aware system would have created no doubt the bus applied the brakes at the split second a collision was imminent.

    Hi Jeff,

There are probably 15 motorhomes, 10 5th wheels and 10 trailers at this location with no power to any of them. I asked if I could add power to my site and was politely told no.

They have standard AC power on the adjoining wall to my spot, it’s their workshed, and I’m going to see if I can negotiate something with that. Maybe a heater and trickle charger? I have a good relationship with the owner so maybe I can work something out. The main thing with them will be “we have no way to monitor how much power you use and what you owe”?

    So we’ll see,

Rocky: I had an electrical outlet on the ceiling of the engine bay that powered the original 24volt boat anchor charger that Liberty put in. Its on its own breaker. Apparently do you don’t have a similar outlet? Considering (carefully) going down through the bedroom closet with a circuit off the TV in bedroom. Put a switch in the bedroom.

Striving to get your coach to mirror Jon’s is a never ending exercise (possibly futile) into asymptotical science. Just as you think you’re only two or three fixes, upgrades, additions, or modifications away … possibly even have a plan in place and the parts ordered … he’ll make a post about another two or three new things he’s done to his coach to make it better, safer, more reliable, or less prone to failure.

Suddenly you’ll realize Jon has raised the bar again and the you’re again further away from your goal.
