I apologize, Jon. Even with our Apple handicap it is the best and greatest website for busses in the world 😀

Tom has notified our two web guys about problems with Safari and saving user names and passwords. But regarding logging in (even if the user names are saved) we all have to go through that because we need some protection on the site. A lot of us have enabled access to our email addresses for example and we do not need folks with no business being here getting access.
I still reject more registrants than I accept because they are from some foreign country that is known to hack websites or because they want to sell stuff like porn.
Logging in every time is our attempt to protect our members.

Tom,
I thought it was funny and wanted to share. Hang in there and it will all work out. I scrolled to the bottom to log in. And had to return to the top and look around to find it. Old saying in Telcom work is ” Nothing permanent but the changes ” that also seems to apply to everyday life.
We all appreciate what Y’all do. Thanks for the site !
BSafe,
Rocky

When I first saw this bus at the Tampa show, I didn’t notice it either. But once the salesman pointed it out, it was plain as day. The good news is that the custom paint scheme most likely caused a few previous sales to fall through the cracks and some had spoken to Walter about the options for hiding the logo.
The other good news is that it really doesn’t bother me and I may have gotten a better deal because of it!
I’ll be doing a six month, 7K mile update in the near future, but I can cut to the chase and say that even with a few minor annoyances, I’m very happy with this bus. The layout works well for me and she drives like a dream on the road. The Aware system makes the highway miles melt away. The Volvo engine is much quieter than I would have imagined and while I don’t love having to manually add DEF from containers, it’s not really that much of an inconvenience.
Yes, happy camper here!

The origin of the problem lies with Prevost, and it is accented with the fact we are small potatoes in terms of customers Prevost needs to protect.
The tire was developed for Prevost by Michelin and the market is an extremely limited one inhabited by Prevost and a few high end RV manufacturers. Prevost uses Michelin exclusively and if anyone has clout with Michelin it is Prevost. Apparently they have sufficient influence to cause Michelin to develop that size tire. The disconnect is in the replacement market. You can bet the farm that Prevost insures there will always be tires available for their production needs and there will not be a Greyhound or charter company sitting along side the road waiting for a tire, You can also bet the farm a motor home conversion will be sitting by the side of the road if a tire fails. We cannot even get mirrors that don’t shake or have their cheap chrome plating bubble up so why should we expect Prevost to give a damn about insuring we have immediate access to 365 tires?
Next time we are on the highway start counting the number of trucks on the road. Then count the number of buses that MIGHT use 365 tires and you begin to see the scope of the problem. Trucks have pretty much standardized on a specific tire size and because of that and the number on the road they are available anywhere. Michelin likely treats Prevost in a similar fashion as Prevost treats us. Compared to their truck tire market buses using 365 tires don’t even reach a full single digit percentage of their production, and since we are now such a small percentage of the Prevost production it would seem we are just lucky to get access to some 365 tires.
The fact that Jeff mentions there are 2015 date coded tires still held by a distributor it means when we had members waiting for tires of the 365 size there were tires gathering dust just in case Greyhound or Prevost might need them. It gets worse. Of our almost 3200 members not a large percentage need 365 tires. So to think PC or anyone can convince Prevost or Michelin to help us with our needs is wishful thinking.
I questioned why anyone with an all 315 tire coach would want to “upgrade” to 365 tires and I am even more convinced today that may not have been the best option.

Before I took further advice from Power Tech I would have a discussion with the folks that make the engine, such as Kubota or Yanmar for example.
Power tech may have a great deal of expertise with the generator head, but all they do is bolt on an engine they buy. It is a sad fact that there are times when we have oil leaks such as a hub seal, alternator seal, engine leaks, etc that sometimes the repair has to be repaired.
