I ordered BF Goodrich tires today, warehouse had them in stock.
Tire store informed me that FMCA now has the fleet discount arranged with BF Goodrich also, same as with Michelin.
He called and got me the discounted price.
He also informed me that BF Goodrich is owned by Michelin. I Googled it, BF Goodrich quit making tires in 1988, Michelin bought the BF Goodrich name and manufactures tires with the BF Goodrich name on them. -
John,
I have a 2005 chassis also and my door lock is a Corbin-Russwin and you are correct, the lock and key is substantial.
Is it possible someone replaced the original?

I always put one on the wet tank and that pretty much takes care of things.

Mark, I really believe you are out of line when you said the Marathon salesman doesn’t know what going on. Jim is one of the greateast guys I know and yes he knows his coaches!!! If you have a problem and he’s here in the park he will be at your door in a heatbeat!!! And if he’s not around Boater Al will be there and believe me he knows his stuff!!! I really think you need to take the time and reserch these fine machines first! If you keep knocking these conversions—-no matter what you buy you will fine yourself an ORPHAN COACH because nobody meets your standards.

I am drifting with the thread….
I can see the merits for a one tank system but it would never work for me. I guess that is another reason there are different converters.
We park at churches for a week at a time and very often we have good electric (many times I installed it on a previous visit) and access to water but no place to empty the tanks close by. With three of us taking showers, making dirty dishes that require washing and other general water use, we usually empty the huge gray tank at least once and sometimes twice during the seven days we are there.
If that gray water was mixed with black water, no matter how macerated it was, I could not water the grass with it, not that I would do that in some locations where they would throw me under the jail for it. But I keep 75′ of gray water hose in order to reach a distant sewer cleanout if I need to do so.
A lot of Pastors in dry areas say “Aim your gray water to that flower bed or that patch of grass and save us some water!”

OK, let’s get past the BS and reveal the truth.
I do turn my flip phone “on” when I want to make a call. But unless I want to make a call, it is turned “off”. I don’t like to use the phone so it doesn’t get turned on much. BTW, it has no camera, no text capability, no voice mail, I cannot search the web, because it is a phone. It is not a GPS, a TV, or even a garage door opener.
However the phone in the bus is always “on”. It is a cell phone, but not a cell phone. It is a black box that can send and receive calls, and it is connected to all the phone jacks in the coach. We have 4 extensions through the coach and they are conventional phones. When I want to make a call I pick up a phone, hear a dial tone, dial the number and the call is made just like the land line at home. When I am done I just hang up. The phones have an answering machine as part of the system. Some folks call that voice mail.
But when I am driving I cannot answer the phone. I cannot reach it. If Di is with me, she answers the phone, and if it is for me she almost needs to hold a gun to my head to get me to talk on it if I am driving.
Too many business phone calls 24 hours a day when I worked for a living have made me greatly dislike phones. For as many years as I had manufacturing businesses, I never had a cell phone. I always had the phone described above in the coach, but when I traveled in my plane I was literally out of touch.
Now I do carry the cell phone, but rarely have it on. I won’t be using it when eating with friends or while sitting on toilet (except the one in the bus).
My cell phone is modern. It does not have a rotary dial.

Davy,
If it’s just a dumb charger, don’t forget to unhook the leads after a few hours or it will cook the batteries.

If it’s a group 31 it is way bigger than needed. Even a Group 24 is overkill. Of course, when a battery hasn’t been used and is drained a bit, a little more battery than is needed is always a good idea. Going smaller than a group 24 means you’ll pay more too. Most batteries smaller than 24 are motorcycle or speciality batteries. As a general rule a starting battery should have at least 3 times the horsepower of the engine in Cold Cranking Amps.

David,
We have an entertainer/family motorhome hybrid. It is built with both entertainer features and MH features. It has three bunks in a room with it’s own door and closet for the kids. Very cool setup.
I have found that most of the entertainer features are more industrial/commercial feeling than the other options. It is built like a tank and no frilly tassles etc that seem to end up in most of these conversions I see.
I am guessing that maybe 5 – 10% of the buses have bunks that suit a family. Most have no bunks or are true entertainers that have 12 bunks.
Check out http://www.kleininteriorspecialists.com They did the conversion on the bus we own.
As for great parks: Tiger Run in Breckenridge, CO.
