Just went out to the bus and hit the 12V pop breaker that I thought I always used and the fan stayed on???? Later on I will open the rear slide and try to trace the wires. The next time I go towards Tampa I will stop in at Marathon and ask Dr Joe why the fan no longer goes off when I disable the unmarked pop breakers.

No, the fan is on regardless of turning off the key and the rocker which you need to turn on to start the bus.

American Coach wired my block heater through the inverters, along with everything else in the bus. I keep the block heater unplugged so I don’t accidentally turn it on and discharge my batteries. I mention this because there are a few other American Coach owners on P.C.

Your block heater plug is already there as I stated in my earlier post. Right now I’m using for my golf cart charger.

But I have to report that I dropped and broke my flip phone a few months ago. Half the hinge was broke. I had to be awfully careful using it. Did that for about six weeks, then became concerned this wouldn’t work in the long run, I might lose my contacts, so I have kinda transitioned to an iPhone. I’m getting used to it. I miss some of the functionality of the flip phone which I liked. It has a really nice compass and level (bubble for leveling the coach, carpenter’s level to getting outlets square in new shop, and an artificial horizon in case I start flying again). Takes nice pictures, better than my old phone which makes it useful for sending pictures of problems on the coach to Jeff Rowe.
My wife talked me into going on Facebook a few years ago. I resisted. Finally I succumbed and was sucked in. What I really find it useful for is reconnecting with old girlfriends and wasting time. Its one of the most rewarding time wasters I’ve ever used. I think what’s so good about using Facebook to waste time with is the variety of the stuff that gets posted on it and the fact its interactive.

Anyone have a valid prevost part number for the “red” Hoses? Going into the shop on thrusday to get them swapped and nobody at Prevost can confirm a correct part number for a red hose. Kevin Laughlin from prevost is looking into for me. He told me they are no longer using red hoses that everything they use is Blue.. Don’t kill the messenger but that is what they told me. -

I carried my Harley several time on a lift . I decided never to carry it on a lift ever again as it got incredibly dirty and the cover scratched the paint. I would not recommend it to anyone.

Brett, one note on the CC glass dash replacement. I have been told Silverleaf has lowered the price on the glass dash replacement from $10k to about $6k, so not quite as bad.

As usual, I chime in on these LLC’s from Montana..
Respectfully, please remember, they are definitely legal to “set up” but illegal in your state according to most state statutes…. if setting them up allows you to “evade” the tax or road use fees on the coach…… In Texas, for example, if you keep the coach in Texas or have the coach in Texas for 30 days, and are a Texas resident, it must be registered in Texas and the road use fees paid.
I have worked with the State Comptroller’s office on this in Texas for a long time because I seek to have those who use the roads of this state to pay the costs associated with that use…. if caught in Texas, Florida, etc., the penalties can be huge….some have ranged into the $200,000 area (Florida) and if caught, the state has on occassion gone back to previous ownerships as well …
Everyone has an opinion on this but this is mine… sleep at night…pay the fees…

With Rudy on the phone, we checked voltages on the controller at the burner. As I’m telling Rudy the voltages, he tells me to smack the end of the motor. I did and it started up.
The motor is DC and appears to have a bad segment on the commutator or armature, i.e, a bad spot. The motor will work as long as it doesn’t stop on the bad spot. Smacking the end of the motor provides enough movement of the armature to energize the next segment and it starts.
Rudy is sending me a replacement motor and a replacement nozzle.
Too bad that all of life’s problems can’t be solved with a smack or swift kick.
