We camped at Ft. Wilderness just after we picked up our new H3-45 VIP last November 2014.
One thing to watch out for, the entrance kiosk is a little low for an H3. We had to lower all the way down to get under the canopy. Ft. Wilderness is in the process of designing a new entrance kiosk but I’m not sure when it will be ready.
As we drove under the canopy, all was fine. Just as you exit the canopy there is a speed bump (amazing)….as we drove over it we didn’t hit anything but I just can’t believe that they have not removed it and maybe put it out further in the open area.
I tried to pull up a map of the resort but can’t find what I’m looking for. I can’t remember the number of our site but it was fine. We just had to be careful of the over-grown foliage. We were walking distance to the on-site restaurant (maybe 10 minutes), so we were fairly close.
Have fun,

The first thing I have done is remove the belt guard. When the bus is sold I put it in the bay for the new owner to store somewhere. Anywhere but on the bus.

My first thought was that you and Tom were two old guys just looking for attention. Than when I saw others kissing the ground each of you walked on, and Jeff being recently “CROWNED”, I figured I better get in on the action.
Seriously, I’m glad I found PC and ETLC.

Great homework question Brett, but sounds like you have your answer. Jump on in the water is fine.

Happy Thanksgiving, that is … 🙂
We are staying at TGO for a few more days before we head back to the Gulf coast and to Myakka River Motor Coach Resort, in particular. We will be spending all of December there.
A turkey is much too much for 2 people. We will be having Chinese food later today.
Cheers,
Ronald

Tim,
Is the display dead? I assume you have the dash Aux AC button in the on position.

Hmmmm. Never thought about just calling the company (duh)! I will do that tomorrow morning, and see what they recommend! Thanks for the quick replies!

Buddy,
It’s hard to imagine that VW Bus being a taxi (which I’m sure your are right). The only problem is that it could not carry much weight with that small air-cooled engine!
Once, I drove mine to Nashville to see my sister (with other siblings) and we were looking at houses. This particular house had a steep downward driveway. I had to back up the hill to get out. The bus would not go up the hill, LOL!
My passengers had to exit the bus for me to get enough momentum to get up the hill. So, a taxi bus? I hope it was all flat land.

I had three plus inch failure this past Labor Day on way to Louisville KY. It was the blue hose off the turbo. Now has a red hose. Plan on having the rest of the hoses switched out during next service.

You’re right about the air coming from the Prevost brake system. But what Prevost said is that their braking system, if it reaches 60 psi, will automatically kick in a check valve allowing air only to be pumped to the Prevost brake system and no where else. I’m certainly no expert and do consider myself a rookie which is why I posted on the forum and with some different views, called SMI and Prevost. The Prevost has a check valve just like SMI’s system. Again, I wouldn’t take my word for it, contact both SMI and Prevost. If they say something different, then someone’s not telling the truth and further investigation needs to occur.

No-slide newer Prevosts are disappearing like hotcakes. Saw a really nice 03 XLII in Florida, and the price was reasonable, but it was sold within weeks. Sometimes it makes you wonder why some coaches don’t move, but then again, with some of the coaches we’ve seen I guess it is understandable.
We shook hands with the buyer, but we had mentioned to them we had reservations in Vegas for Thanksgiving, so we get one last trip. Once the coach is sold we’ll be in the hunt!
