Fan-Tastic Fan
Hello everyone. I browse much more frequently than I post, but I need some advice.
I need to replace the fan in the bathroom of our ’97 Liberty conversion. The only ones that I see online have three speeds. As far as I know, my currrent (no longer working) fan has a single speed. Is there a recommended replacement model of the fan, or will any Fan-tastic Fan with an automatic lift work?

Hmmmm. Never thought about just calling the company (duh)! I will do that tomorrow morning, and see what they recommend! Thanks for the quick replies!

The skinny on Fantastic Fans is that if you have a switch that turns it on and makes the hood open automatically, and then the reverse when you turn the switch off, OR if you have a 2-wire t-stat control that varies the speed and automatically opens and closes the hood, then you need the model that is NOT their “top of the line” wireless remote controlled unit. If you order model 3350, then when you are ready to install it, take the inside cover off, remove the 2 orange wires from the little switch by the t-stat knob, route these over to the opening where the power and ground wires come out of the body of the fan, and connect these wires to either the external switch or 2-wire t-stat in the coach, and you will be a happy person. Then the switch will have the same automatic hood operation you had with the original fan. Remember, breaking the power and ground will not supply power to the fan to close the hood, so that approach doesn’t work. Then just set the direction you want the fan to move air (out is the most common), and the speed you want, and you can then hide it away behind whatever cover grill your convertor installed.
Of course if you have no external control switch or 2-wire thermostat already in the coach, and want to have a remote thermostatically controlled fan that is variable speed, then you can use the 7350 model and get all of that remote controlled functionality.
Liberty tended to install the switch-controlled model in the 1990’s years, so the 3350 and the procedure I described above is probably your best bet.

Thanks, Ben! The company will no longer ship the old OEM fans, and they are out of replacement parts. I will see about going with your advice and instructions.
