As soon as 45 foot coaches were introduced along with the Series 60 the number of 40 foot XL coaches sold dropped significantly. As years passed their percentage of total XL sales dropped so you are looking for a fairly rare coach.
You don’t say why you want a 40 instead of a 45, but your chances of finding a good XL go up dramatically if you include a 45 in your considerations.
I have had both and while there are places a 45 might prove more difficult I would imagine I could count them on the fingers of one hand.

If the coach is an XLII, and the visible vertical strips at the panel joints are not on the coach get the coach inspected.
If there is a delamination problem that has not been addressed with the permanent repair DONE ONLY BY PREVOST the cost to do the repair can easily reach $50,000.

I replaced that exact Flair-it fitting 3 weeks ago. The 1/8 NPT was split. Maybe over tightening the brass valve or it was bumped. I had enough slack in the 1/2″ pex to simply cut the pex at the end of the old T fitting. ACE hardware had the exact replacement Flair-it T fitting and 1/2 pex tubing. If you do not have enough slack to cut the tubing you can use a hair dryer to warm it up a little then you can wiggle the pieces apart. The hair dryer helps when installing the new T. You can also replace the T with a straight Flair-it splice if you never plan to use the frig water supply. Working inside those cabinets gets more difficult every year!

Chuck, the leak is not going to affect your use of the coach except to the extent you are going to lose accessory air when parked and the aux compressor will run more often. When driving the engine driven compressor has more than enough output to overcome the loss.

I believe you will have a backup light on the dash area, then the coach has to be in reverse as well as I recall…

The first post notifying folks of the seminar date was May 19th, so there was plenty of notice. We as a group do a pretty good job discussing the seminar in advance of the date, sorry you’re late to the party.
Welcome aboard, keep the posts coming.

To Jim’s point about loads when a coach is shut down, remote storage with power is OK, but somehow in the event of a power outage you have to be notified because it will not take long to drain batteries unless you have 100% confidence the entire coach and its systems are put to sleep.

if that level valve were up that high(pic) it would be dumping air fast..

Didn’t realize Craig Stadler took to coaching………..he and Andy do look an awful lot alike.

I suspect others may disagree, but lose the smart phone, get a flip phone, only turn it on when you want to make a call and life would be good.
Step back a little, I may get flamed for being right.

Now I’ve heard it said that the house inverter/batteries should be left on when plugged into 50 amp shore power. What is right?
Asked another way, will my house batteries charge with the inverter off and plugged into 50 amp service?
And Glen what’s that about a hammer? Ohhhh you’ve seen my work!

Well, the bus runs pretty good. Everything’s topped off, the tires are properly inflated and the brakes are great. Drove it around for a while and we leave S.F. in the am. I’m guessing it’ll be pretty slow up the passes, though. If you’re traveling north on I5 tomorrow and Sunday, I’d like to apologize in advance.
