If you get a chance to visit Arlington National Cemetery, just down the hill from the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, you will find the headstones of my Mom and Dad, my Mom’s Dad and Mom, and his Dad’s and wife as well as my Mom’s brother. While I don’t have a Military bone in my body, I have the UTMOST respect for those that serve! My greatest thanks and respect to all that serve and have served!

My Apple guy said that keeping it on charge all the time was the problem. He blamed it on the Launchport. Don’t keep it on the Launchport 24-7 for months at a time.

Why is running at very low loads bad for diesel engines?
Pistons and cylinders are lubricated by oil that is retained in the cylinder cross hatching-small diagonal scratches created by honing. When an engine runs lightly loaded for a long time the cross hatch tends to fill in and the cylinder becomes “glazed”. This greatly accelerates wear to piston rings and lowers compression as the rings no longer seal. Significant blow-by and exhaust smoke can be the result. Instead of going easy on the engine, running at low loads can actually wear out a diesel engine prematurely.

It’s turbo charged and needs to run long, hard and often under heavy loads to make heat as Bernie pointed out. The exhaust pipe also is probably coated in unburnt fuel and soot as well. Imagine your series 60 on low idle for a very long period of time, it will run like crap until you blow it out.

I agree with Jon and David. if you have coolant and oil the first place to check is the belt on the front of the generator. It is not visible without getting behind the cover. If you get to Santa Fe Skies without a fix they know all the best local places for help and parts.

FWIW if your on a slope with less than a quarter tank. The wrong way sometimes the fuel inlet/pick up will be out of the fuel. Also the 8-V92 have transfer pump mounted of front of engine that I have had fail… Also I/many have put a 12 Volt diesel rated in line elect fuel pump in supply. This helps on prime problems and gets you off road if you have pump failure.. DDEC must have a direct battery + and minus power wires. A whole differant sub . If they pulled yours off vanner that could be your problem. If you want pin # I will give them to you. ddwc must have over 10.6 V @ 12 to function.

I just took a chance on this Amazon $2000 beauty. I’m not a fan of moving parts so I stayed away from rotating rear cameras. I put 2 cameras in the back one pointed at the hitch, one down the road. The 2 side cameras are additions I did not previously have.
This is a 4 wire system if you have a 4 wire cable in place it can likely be used. There are also 4 wire to rca video adapters that can be used for other camera types. It all comes down to a video signal, ground, 12V, and ground. Depending on what wiring harness you have in place may play a role in your decision.
i have used this system for all of one trip of 450 miles but the signal was stable and picture quality was good. Have not used it at night yet to test the IR features. Will be interesting to see what the longevity of this system is. It did have better reviews than a lot of the name brands out there.

We have stayed at the River Ranch Rv Resort there in New Braunfels several times. Noisy as I35 is right there but get a spot on the river and nice. Heck if in Austin drive out further West (Hwy 71) and go down to Pace Bend Park on Lake Travis nice and peaceful. Drive in first and check the overhang as there are trees on some spots hanging low. Used to have a place close to the park on Bee Creek Road down the hill from Willie Nelsons place.
