Thank you all for the information. The diagram was helpful, Gerald.
Here are the answers to two things I was asked.
With the key on, engine off, the fan spins easily by hand.
Once the engine was cranked, and the belts had tension, the fan immediately kicked on, no doubt about it. It is being driven right from the start. contrary to what it is supposed to do.
What do these things tell me?

I would have the coach equipped with one right now except I think it would end up biting me in the butt.
All these folks I am sharing the road with that are busy texting, watching Netflix, adjusting their home thermostats, etc. would go crazy if their signal was jammed and then they would be paying even less attention to what would appear to be driving.

We have no such decals on the outside of our coach. The info is on the back of the fuel door (out of sight).

Our bus is my only escape from my kids to try and watch a movie. So much so I’ve installed a new re-capped Sunfire Subwoofer that can shake the house down! A 4K curved Samsung – Mac Mini media server – and am about to figure out a better center channel setup. That M&K in the ceiling isn’t cutting it. I love watching a show in the bus It’s our best home theater.
These buses are toys… and they can serve up a lot of fun in different ways. Plus… just the process of adding technology, lighting, etc… is fun. my kids enjoy watching a movie sitting in our driveway on the outdoor TV. When we visit the family all the kids love to sit around and watch a show while roasting smores outside the bus.
I like spending time in the bus… it’s just so cool!

Don’t know what your original was Jimmy, mine has a Headhunter. All I can tell you is the pressure remains at 45 psi no matter how many faucets are on and does not short cycle. We can usually get 2 glasses of water out of the fridge before the pump comes on, the expansion tank does it’s job well.
I understand later model Marathons had two small pumps instead of one big one like mine.

I will be interested to see what they find out. Would I be correct in assuming the solenoid is in the door or could it be in the dash with the brain? Again, not my coach so I havent been in a hurry to pull this guys coach apart.

It sounds like the 5-speed can be programmed to downshift just like our 6-speeds. I guess I was not confused after all!

The service guy can’t get there until at least Monday. I will mark, label and photograph all the battery connections as directed. I will disconnect and charge the batteries individually.
Is there power I need to turn off first?
At what voltage should I charge the batteries? 2v, 10v, 40v?
I’m tempted to just go out an get new batteries using the PC NAPA discount just to be safe since the batteries are 3 years old. Your thoughts?

I’m at 13’2″, which is the height of my Max Vent cover. Went thru a tunnel in NY which was 13’6″. However, I forgot about my antenna height.
One of my center antenna’s, I believe for the radio or GPS, dragged along the ceiling the entire 1-mile stretch. Kept us on our toes and thankful we weren’t any taller … I believe my antenna is now 13’6″ 🙂

I do not know who you are without a signature but are the condensing unit compressors cycling on short cycles such as 15 to 30 second cycles? They should not be doing the same thing because they are independent (we assume) but it is TOTALLY possible both are low on freon.
If they are short cycling… cut them off… do not use them until an A/C guy can recharge them. The freon plays a part in the compressor’s lubrication… so if it is low…leave them off…
If they are low… you have an obvious leak that can be found by the use of a colored leak finder that gets infused with the freon.
If the leaks are found and the system has to be broken, change all of the “O” rings and the in line filters which are not expensive.(If the inline filters have minute pieces of metal in them, the compressor is coming apart)…If that is not the case, have the “O” rings totally coated with compressor oil and refitted. Vacuum down the system to thirty pounds or whatever the tech recommends and make certain it does not lose a pound over a thirty minute period. If that holds, refill with the freon gas applicable to your unit.
It can be leaking at the condenser, the evaporator or at any “O” ring connection (even at the compressor)…

Who’s going to be at ETLC and RV Resort next Monday and Tuesday.
We’re headed to Bristol Motor Speedway at noon tomorrow for the the Short Track Nationals (Bill Prietzel will be in Diamond Bill Tandetzke’s modifed) then stopping at ETLC. Then to Indianapolis for the Dirt Mile at the Indiana Fairgrounds, IRP, and the 500.
