Location of freon valves to check and put freon in
I have a 1999 Featherlite Vantare Prevost H345
and can’t locate the valves to check the freon for the primary and secondary AC units. They are blowing out just cool air-not enough to cool coach- It runs along time and temperature barely drops in 20-30 min! Is anyone familiar with this coach! -

OTR or driver’s air?

It’s not the bus air or drivers air- it’s the one in the central units in the side bays-has thermostats in 2 places in coach. The units you use when parked with generator.

Sorry, Can’t help. I do know some units don’t even have charging ports. You have to break into the system if you want to check pressures or recharge.

I do not know who you are without a signature but are the condensing unit compressors cycling on short cycles such as 15 to 30 second cycles? They should not be doing the same thing because they are independent (we assume) but it is TOTALLY possible both are low on freon.
If they are short cycling… cut them off… do not use them until an A/C guy can recharge them. The freon plays a part in the compressor’s lubrication… so if it is low…leave them off…
If they are low… you have an obvious leak that can be found by the use of a colored leak finder that gets infused with the freon.
If the leaks are found and the system has to be broken, change all of the “O” rings and the in line filters which are not expensive.(If the inline filters have minute pieces of metal in them, the compressor is coming apart)…If that is not the case, have the “O” rings totally coated with compressor oil and refitted. Vacuum down the system to thirty pounds or whatever the tech recommends and make certain it does not lose a pound over a thirty minute period. If that holds, refill with the freon gas applicable to your unit.
It can be leaking at the condenser, the evaporator or at any “O” ring connection (even at the compressor)…
