    Previous fill was Rotella.

S-50 or 60? Ken has been there on tag axle clearance with long engine. Has stopped many 8V92/60 serries swap. Just a observation.. 50 would fit. Bob comments welcome.

That is a long nose, and I would suspect, that the driver of the black car was in the truckers blind spot. I did not hear him speed up. Very dangerous place to be, but most folks do not realize or respect this area.

Hard to say who was at fault, but it was an eye opener.

Robert, 2004 model yr. is most likely an ’03 shell. Should be non-emission motor. DEF didn’t start until 2012 shell yr., I think. Geo.

“Too much pressure and the floor slide will open and close with considerable speed and force.”

We rented an 89 Prevost Country Coach XL last year. The floor slide did just like you said. We could have used it to slide steel tubing!

    Gerald,

Did you notice any decrease in the pyrometer temps with the large hole? One of the signs of a free flowing system is lower exhaust temps. Maybe your hole is in a place that still has several internal baffles that are restricting the flow, but does let it make more noise-especiallty the Jake brake. It does sound cool, but you are 45′ ahead of the noise.

I think you can just un bolt and replace just the valve be careful if you break the flange on the pipe where the bolts go through you will have to cut pipe re glue new flange on or take it out of holding tank they are glued on to pipe I did mine for water tank drains there are two on mine . Just putting in new valve is easy , just new valve and gasket make sure you get same valve some of them are Bristol hard to find they need to match flange. Why are you replacing it what part is leaking or not working????

It is unlikely different agents are going to give you different quotes than any other agent because if they are working with the same information the quotes are going to be the same.

Where the right agent comes into significance is if they know the product being insured they can and will guide you to the insurance company that will do the best job (not necesarily the best price) for your needs.

I cringe when I see folks happy they can insure their Prevost with the same agent who covers their cars and house, using the same insurance company that will cover those items.

Some inverters have a Low AC voltage setting that you can
adjust. The inverters were doing their job adding voltage when seeing
106 volts and you could possibly increase that setting to 110. The
function of adding power happens so fast, I doubt there is any danger
    in harming your AC loads.

As Jon mentioned, the generator is the other option if it’s
    practical based on your location.

Thank you for the help. I have much to do now before needing more help than you have given me. Today I found one breaker in the bay directly above the steering bay that had popped. I reset it but have not had a chance to see if it fixed the pyro or the jake. I have only one pyro gauge in the instrument bezel, but sounds like you are saying I have two. Are you referring to the gauge(s) or the sensor(s) of which I would have more than one? My intuition, based on the way the gauge began to show lower and lower temps, and finally show no temp, is that it is the sensor or sensors.

I pulled the jake switch out of the dash and began multimeter testing for voltage. Got none, but decided maybe I didn’t have a good ground. So ran a ground wire from the base of the passenger seat to the meter, and put the hot lead into the cigarette lighter socket to test for a good ground. Never got any voltage but I think I may have shorted the probe accross the socket. Found fuse number 16 popped in the electrical bay number 2 left side.

Here is where I hope I’m at:

    1)Fuse fixes cigarette lighter

    2)Breaker fixes jake

    3)New sensor(s) fixes pyro gauge

    4) LF fog and both driving lights need to test for voltage at the load and then for a good ground.

Didn’t mean to imply I know all problems are ground related.

Didn’t mean to imply fuses and breakers are on the ground side of the circuit.

Our jake has two positions low and high. Both positions stopped operating abruptly not gradually, so I hope it was that breaker.

Thanks again for the advice, Dan.

    Glen.

As a precaution I would urge you shut all power in or to the coach off. Shut down your 120 volt power, your inverters and your battery master switches to make sure there is no potential ignition source for a fire.

From your limited description it sounds as though the problem lies with the DC electrical circuits, but unless you are 100% certain of that and can isolate all of those circuits from the coach you are better off to just shut it all down. I include the chassis master switches in that as well as the house. Even though they are two separate DC systems you cannot afford the risk.

    Be safe.
