I am still trying to find a reasonably priced replacement motor for a couple of our XLII awning window motors.

The first one listed is what is installed now. The second one is the closest I have found, yet.

Anyway, twice the speed of the original would not work. It would be way too fast.

    Thanks,

    Ronald

If the transmission is making harsh shifts it could be a signal that there is a problem. An Allison dealer can do a diagnosis that on the six speed transmission will include a graphic that will even show remaining clutch thickness.

That is a worthwhile check that will identify any faults or issues the transmission might have.

I may not have read it correctly but my Field Service manual told me to use sealant for the installation of the lower windshields on my coach.

How do you get the upper piece out anyway? Mine is buried by a full width cabinet.

Lets put the horse before the cart. Locating the coach that fits your needs would be the first thing. I think finding the coach that you both like is #1. H or XLII ….40 or 45…. Price range….Interior…..Exterior.

You can assume that the seller is telling the truth about the condition, service records, maintenance , attention to little items. I had my questions for each bus via phone following pictures. I had a list of items which I followed 1,2,3 on site, asked questions, made notes.

On our last coach airplane ride to CA. car rental look at 2 coaches. Both rejected after inspection. Second adventure was car trip MI. IN. TN with 4 coaches inspected. 3ad trip fly to Coburg OR Marathon factory…bingo. Our current bus and without slides.

The experience with our purchase on a Marathon factory owned bus was beyond all expectations before and after the sale.

Spent some money ? you bet. Worth the actual in person inspection ? you bet.

Make sure you buy a reliable BS meter.

Jeff’s place IMHO was an excellent venue since he had all the equipment to put any of our coaches up in the air for the seminar. In the process of pointing out the different areas we as owners should have inspected, he found issues that the owner of the coach was unaware of, giving the owner the option of getting it fixed on site depending on the severity.

Kudos to Jeff and his staff for not only the seminar, but also for the first-class service!

    ATTENTION : Jon …..

I recall you having a problem with your Blue LEDs some time back…what was the problem?? I am just wondering about the section I have that isn’t working but not damaged like the rear ones… Are your lights the same as mine and are they 12V or 24V ?

I posted better pictures last night.

    Thanks in advance…. Diane
