PC “Know Your Prevost Seminar 2”
OK boys and girls, you asked for it, so here it goes…
The next seminar will be held Oct 23 – 26 at East Tennessee Luxury Coach in Vonore, TN. We think it’s a perfect time for those folks heading to Florida for the winter and the weather that time of year in TN will be fantastic.
Here’s the kicker… We have to have 20 sign ups, otherwise the seminar just won’t work for us.
To sign up, go to Rally Information or click on the announcement section of the forum, top right corner, or click below. Once we get to 20 sign ups, we’ll send you an invoice you can pay online. No point collecting money now, we need to see if we have enough to make it work.

If you have any doubts about your coach or its operation, or are new to ownership this seminar is the best and fastest way (and easiest) to learn what we have learned the hard way over 25 years and by reading tens of thousands of posts dealing with problems.

For those considering attending the Fall session, I highly recommend. We have had a motor home since 1996. Over that span of nineteen years I became very comfortable with my working knowledge of our five Monacos. We purchased our first Prevost in March of last year going into it with confidence that it was just another transition. Although not overwhelmed nor intimidated, I quickly realized I was definitely in the Big Leagues. In the past 15 months we have become more comfortable with our Prevost knowledge. Over the three days and three nights in Vonore the knowledge shared by Jon, Tom, Jeff and all those present was priceliess. The real life experiences definitely added a dimension of reality to the content of each session.
The only thing better than the classroom was meeting and visiting with members of our Community. Its a must see. Cli and I give it Four Thumbs Up! Oh! I almost forgot, Jon showed us new Liberty owners how the holding tank emits that rose pedal aroma.

I would be extremely interested in attending; however, I most likely will not have located/purchased my coach by then although I’ve moved up leaving DC now to mid-October.
I noted there is classroom and hands-on training, which I suspect would be hands-on training with your own coach and not Jon or Tom’s coach.
Please confirm you “must have” a coach to attend this training or would there be value for someone to attend who is looking to purchase a Prevost?
If only open to current Prevost owners, no worries, but I would definitely sign up for this seminar in 2016.

We picked coaches representative of significant changes to the undercarriage and braking system from those attending. It really doesn’t matter if you have one or not, but you will gain more if you have one so items specific to your coach can be addressed.
However, as a buyer the seminar will make you significantly more prepared than the average first time buyer because a lot of what we discuss relates to pre-trip inspections and common issues. Just that information alone is going to enable you to do a real good inspection of a coach and allow you to ask questions that are going to reveal just how well the owner maintained the coach. Just having the confidence to ask to see the underside, and then know what to look for is going to make you heads and shoulders over the average buyer, experienced or not.
In 20 minutes under a coach you will be able to evaluate its condition and you won’t even need to use a single tool.
You will have enough information to test the brakes, know what to expect the gauge readings to be, and what warning flags to look for. There is no doubt owning your own coach is going to increase your benefit, but I would be extremely surprised if the time and money spent was not returned in the money you save via negotiation after you inspected the coach you are going to buy.

Vonore is not the edge of the earth, but you can see it from there. Maybe Maryville, or along I-75 near the exit 72.

The alternative to this seminar is the considerably more expensive school of hard knocks. All of us have been to that school. We quickly realize we gain experience right after we needed it.

I have been reading pneumatic diagrams tonight and thought walking thru a pneumatic and a wiring diagram might be worth a few minutes if you are considering topics for #2. -
Easily done. In fact it will provide an opportunity to show how a PDF file from the Prevost Publications page can be taken to a copy shop, printed in a large formate, laminated with a clear plastic to be used to trouble shoot problems.
