Teton Pass is now a wide modern road although steep,, gear down going up same gear or one less going down with a jake or retarder, piece of cake.

But if you leave I-80 and go north to Star Valley Wy, the topography is relatively mild comoaredvtomteton pass. You have a a bit of a narrow road from Swan Valley, to Driggs. We have done in a 45ft H towing 22 ft truck

Prevost has nothing to do with what shade awning the converters put on the roof. Girard is by far ahead of most with their structure.

I have never heard of Girards having issues with motor heating. You said the motors are new, who put them in and what brand of motor is it?

If someone put a somfy motor in yours they are heat sensitive. I would check that.

If someone at Marathon told you to ice or hose your awning motor, they should be fired for being stupid. Do you have his name?

The worst thing about older Girards is they want to up shoot in a 4mph wind.

This is an edit, I just read your post again and your saying this is due to outside temps?

I highly doubt that is the problem. I have 90 ft of Girards hanging off the back of my house and I live in a desert. They always open and close. You have something else going on there, sorry I’m no help.

Our thoughts & prayers go out to Phill, Joanne, & their family. Here’s hoping for a full, fast recovery for Phil and the pup. If there is anything needed, just say the word…

Any method used to find leaks is a winner. I have used an electronic stethoscope for years and at times I miss the leak with the stethoscope and find it using soapy water. Yet other times it’s just the opposite.

Aux leaks used to drive me nut’s, now I just deal with small leaks and accept the fact they’re going to happen and it’s just part of the joy’s of bus ownership.:)

Thanks Jon,this is very helpful. I had seen that advise but was not sure if the circuit would handle the heater.

Here is the inverter remote panel that I have:

So it looks like I can select the “power share” option and set the 5A breaker size on each inverter. It also sounds like I should also turn the inverter part off as well since the ac loads will not be used but just leave the charge part on. In the past, when I have turned off the inverters, and hit the house disconnect switch and flipped the 24vdc and 12vdc chassis disconnects off there was still power flowing, e.g. the abs light in the Prevost wiring compartment located on the left front side of the coach was still lit as well as the cable connections and breakers between the inverters and batteries. I don’t have access to the coach documents at this point (2 hours away) so I apologize for not using the correct verbiage. I hope this is normal.

I highly recommend this seminar! Definitely enjoyed and benefited from the seminar that I went to, and I didn’t even have my bus then.

However, I’ll be back on the farm driving a semi for fall harvest during this seminar … Although I’ll be at Jeff’s a week later for my annual pilgrimage!

I have an Open Window (or whatever is says) light that is on all the time. Was like that when we bought the coach in May of 2014. Jeff Rowe tried to find the problem, but wasn’t able to find it in a reasonable amount of time.

Any idea how to figure out which window might be the problem child? Will jumpering the wires close the circuit and hence turn out the light?? Or is it more complicated than that??

You probably have a hidden GFCI tripped, sometimes easy to overlook the plug.

I wish to thank all the members on PC who posted very kind words of comfort. My wife and I were together over 34 years. Her death leaves a very big hole …. I must change many things in my life.

Reading the messages many times and appreciate your kind words, from people I know and people I have never met.

I also wish to thank 6 people who did something very special in Mary Ellen’s memory. I’ll never forget your generosity, kindness, and compassion.

    Thank You,
