  • awning window warning light on

Posted by joel on August 15, 2016 at 4:36 pm

Checked all the magnetic sensors and opened and closed all windows. Light stays on dimly at all times and gets brighter when I open any window…seems like a short, relay, or ground problem as opposed to a window sensor. Anyone?

On my 97 I had an erroneous awning window light and while I cannot remember the details I do remember I had to adjust the switch position and that cure the problem.

It wasn’t difficult and it only took a minute or so, but I just cannot remember exactly what I did. It may not have even been like yours because I think Prevost changed the design, or maybe that was on the XLII. So what I mean about not remembering?

I have an Open Window (or whatever is says) light that is on all the time. Was like that when we bought the coach in May of 2014. Jeff Rowe tried to find the problem, but wasn’t able to find it in a reasonable amount of time.

Any idea how to figure out which window might be the problem child? Will jumpering the wires close the circuit and hence turn out the light?? Or is it more complicated than that??

Haven’t had a chance yet to dig up the wiring diagram for study, but all windows act the same; when open, lamp is on brightly as is normal…when closed, lamp is on dimly.
