that is used to open your awnings. The end with the black plastic is used to put out the rafter arm of the main awning. Clipped on the inside of the main awning arms is the rafter arms. It is designed to hook at the top of the main awning in little groves on the awning cover.

tom, thanks for the pointer. thats what i thought i saw some time ago, but didnt save the link. will keep looking or see about making our own.
al and jon, AC is great, but the temps are perfect for being outdoors. and keeping the windows open allows the coach to be aired out. having a screen door would mean not needing to open and close the door everytime one wants to get a fresh beverage.

Charles,
This has come up many times over the years and no one has come up with a really good option that I’m aware of. Someone tried using those screens with magnets that hold the two sides together that just hang from the top of the door.
If you come up with one, you may be able to retire early.:)

Why not plastic? Less cost, less weight etc.

You have two official sources of heating other than a third one which is to turn up the thermostat for cruise airs to heat a bit. They usually kick out when outside temps are below 40, but if you have the Canadian heat package, your cruise airs will operate down into the teens since they have a heat strip to aid the heat pumps.
Back in the your bedroom panel, you should see the 12V heat button, and a 110V heat button. The 12V is your Webasto diesel fired boiler hot water heat. Your 110V heat is your electric toe kick heaters.Your bathroom will have its own switch for electric toe kick. If you also have “High Heat” on your 12V buttons arrangement, you have the Marathon Canadian Heat Pkg, which ramps up your Webasto based convector fans to super high. Just like your 12V Hotwater heater button which makes the Webasto come on to heat your hotwater heaters only, and your 110V hotwater heater button is for the electric side of the hot water heaters. You can use both.

Dick,
That would be my guess. As to why it is labelled as it is I cannot answer that, except to say that is a Prevost gauge and all I have seen just say oil temp.
I cannot imagine a coach without that gauge or some place to view the tranny temp.

Marathon usually puts a sticker above vin plate with the Marathon build number.
In this case it’s not there, so we’re back to vin number. Too bad the owner doesn’t know about PC site.
He is getting a lot of press about his bus.

I’d be guessing. My 97 had that sensor location and I think the wires came from the top of the differential about 10″ from the pumpkin but that is a guess.
The mind don’t work so good any more.

Ronald is exactly right.
We are about to populate the maps with all the Love’s locations. But we need members to add places they have stopped overnight, places they have eaten, places they got good service, or places that we just have to visit.
We are now well beyond 1500 members and as Ronald says if each member just contributed one location we would have a tremendous resource.

A friend who races and is in the car repair biz has used Midtonics PBT-300 for years and is happy with it:
Maxs out at 12 volts so the batteries must be separated before it can be used.
It appears the price goes very high for a 24 volt tester. Midtonics has a great video on its web site of it high end tester testing a four battery bank in a Class 8 truck, no indication of whether its a 12 or 24 volt system. I presume 24. Everything with the batteries and the alternative checked out in the demo video. I would have liked to have seen how the instrument reacted to a single battery in the bank of four with a dead cell.

Some vehicles do not have a steering wheel lock. I know my 50 Ford does not. Nor does our Hummer.

I just replaced one. Nothing to it. The trick is to put a board under the door to lift it a bit beyond regular open position. This takes all the load/force off the strut. Then just unclip the little wire that locks the ball into the fitting and replace. Any little flat blade screw driver will help unclip the wire. Can get tricky if you cannot get to the inboard strut end easily.

I will, but first:
1. The back ends jacked up because I’m fixing air leaks
2. I’ll have to learn how to post pictures.1999 XLV X-6872, liberty #440
