Glens,
Has your OTR been changed to 134 Freon? If so were the hoses and Orings changed? Ours leaks 134 but they are not detectible for some reason.
Thanks,

I would not buy a coach with only 3 cruise airs. I would however, buy one with 3 roof airs. The roof airs perform much better, and cost less by far.
But I’m like Jon, I want it to be 70 or colder all the time. That’s why I also require OTR air as well.

I can’t get a new phone. I have too much fun with this one. I like going into the Verizon store and asking the experts to show me how to text on it.
Or take a photo with it.
It is now museum quality and any day now I expect someone to make me a very generous offer for it.

Here’s the old bad run capacitor I replaced

Yes, thanks, I have the Milepost book.
I have read several blogs and it seems one should expect a significant amount of rain during the trip. We have enough of that in Oregon during the winter, don’t really want to follow it north during the summer.
We used to boat in B.C. and everytime we ventured north of Vancouver Island on the Inland Passage we encountered non-stop rain even in July and August. We hope the inland route is drier, but is it?
For those who have made the trip, how much rain should we expect? 10%, 50%, 90% of days?

Thanks, Guys…
So Set the GEN on “Auto Start” and let the system Manage itself accordingly? … Batteries are strong and fresh.

As I understand this….the adjustment is on the drive axle where it’s bolted to the frame. Using shims to set equal tracking related to front axle. Helping to understand …way out of adjustment sometimes referred to as “dog tracking”.
In many of the Marathons cabinet build outs and tank mounts interfered with access to bolts when shims needed to be added or subtracted. As in any alignment there is always a degree of tolerance the tech must deal with.
I had the 3 point alignment done at Nashville. My OEM shims no adjustment was needed but access to both inside bolts would have been a issue caused by convertor boxing the bolt heads in.

thanks – great idea. I was unaware of a “better” spin on filter for the DD60. I like the idea of no new hoses (leaks/ places to worry about) yet adding a little better protection / filtration.
Great info on the oil analysis – I had been looking at these and trying to decide who to use.Interestingly on the centrifugal filters. They call for a operating temp of 230 degrees. Obviously these are really for other applications than our engines (ever check out videos on making / filtering your own bio diesel – these filters are what the use and heat the fluid to get maximum removal of contaminants)
Thanks John (pc god father) – I definetly don’t pull away prior to warm up – although I had started to load the generator as soon as it comes off high idle, of course now that I say that – that was how I used my onan. I can’t say I have heard my Kohler do the same…. will have to make sure I listen for that.
have a great weekend all!

If you use the ‘regular glass’ guy do not let him use that black glass seal or the next time you replace a windshiled, you wil probably be replacing the rubber also. Ask me how I know this.

If this is the same as the St. Lucie Motorcoach Resort, then I’ll chime-in and say that it’s a well kept community. The expansion area with the ability to add a coach house looks very interesting.

Just be aware of one important thing.
The way your coach and its inverters are wired you have everything sized into and out of the inverters for your current 2500 watts. (#10 wire). Because your new inverters will be 4000 watts you have the potential to use that capacity inadvertently and continously so the wire size is now inadequate. It should be #8 wire.
The inverters you have cannot put out more continuous power than the wire size can handle. The existing inverters were the circuit protection between the inverter and the electric panel by virtue of the limited output.
I think you made a good selection, but during the installation of the new ones rather than pulling new larger wire which would be difficult, install a 30 amp fuse or breaker on the 120V inverter output of the new inverters to prevent overload of the wires.

Triple Foxtrot ,
Well that sure puts a Different Perspective on thing when You visualize 1.5 Football Fields to Stop. That makes ANY Vehicle in front of You within 200 Yards a Potential Hazard ? What Speed do You run on a Hwy that has a 70 MPH Speed Limit with Rolling Hills ?

We traveled this section of 40 two weeks ago and over the past decade. It’s always been bad, at least in the right (slow) lane. Probably only going to get worse as this is a major semi truck route and Arizona isn’t spending much money on I-40
