I agree with John. Tearing that bedroom apart is an adventure the first time. Difficult but doable. Local Interstate Diesel had quoted me $350 to run the top end unless access was an issue. The experienced tech that did the work nearly kissed my foot for the exposure and was careful to keep things clean. Took it home and put it back together. Longsuffering spouse nearly fainted at the site of the S60 top end in the bedroom but recovered after things were back together. Tech said no issues and settings required little adjustment but comes under preventive stuff. Glad I did it. Mike

yes your correct. the new one you have to enlarge the mounting bracket. im mixed in rebuilding mine or going along with the updated one. if the updated is a better clutch im all in. if not thinking of rebuild. anyone have input on this.

Went to Alaska in 2018, we had the bra that covered the grill, hood, & windshield of our toad. Big mistake, small dirt particles (dust) got under the bra and trashed the paint. Plus if I went driving in the toad, had to clean the front off before putting it back on.
Others had the Guardian which protected the toad but bounced rocks and debris off it and back into the rear of the Coach.
The defender alone seemed to work the best. Keeps rocks and debris below it and doesn’t touch the paint and scratch it like the bra we used.
Keep in mind these examples are from an Alaska trip. You will not see that much debris in the lower 48.

Apparently with this dimmer. We have multiple circuits so, it this worked, it would have to be installed in each circuit somewhere. None of ours are on dimmers and we have not found a dimmer to be necessary.

Hi Group,….I have made the change also. The article is full of info, but lots of words. Seems like the yacht industry has lots of info. I see folks who add a AGM battery to their LiPo system for certain loads.
I removed 6 AGM 8D lifelines. I have been using them since the 1990’s, in 3 different coaches, this is the 3rd house bank going into my 1997 Royale in the 7 yrs so far. I would like to see these 4 Amperetime 200a 8Ds preform.
I have 2 Magnum 2812’s working with the 800a bank. I am now setting up the charging program for my type of coachlife, and I want to thank Don for his input in this new world of batteries. If I can recharge the LiPo bank in an 1.5hr of generator run, that is a plus. I will be posting with real world experience.

Turns out that the Port Cruisair unit’s supply charge fitting also had not been properly tightened, resulting in the R22 leaking out and causing the compressor to overheat/seize when the internal oil leaked! Haven’t heard back from Olympia – so doubtful they’ll Warranty this compressor (nor, the compressor they installed on the new Bedroom unit…with the exact same issue!). The same tech worked on both of these units and apparently did not realize the Freon was leaking out even as he was filling each – as the fittings had not been properly tightened.
The good news is that Daniel (mobile tech with Land and Sea) was true to his word. He returned last Thursday to remove and clean all three Cruisairs for rebuilding each with a new Tecumseh compressor. Daniel installed and charged all three Cruisairs earlier today and they have been operating/cooling perfectly. And, he Warranties these compressors/his work for one year!
An expensive lesson…that didn’t have to happen had the tech checked his work. It pays to have an AC tech who is very familiar with Cruisairs from working not only on Prevost busses but, also servicing boats in the marine industry…to ensure the job gets done right.

Still looking for any suggestions on 22 versus 20 inch wipers. my wipers have a small jump coming around the curved portion of windshield and wondering if 20 inch would reduce the erratice movement?
