  • Error Code HI P5

Posted by Jerry on July 5, 2022 at 10:05 pm

Hey all, spent the weekend in Memphis and had a great time but on my way home yesterday about 300 miles from home my mid unit (Galley) went out and flashed error code Hi followed by P5. Anyone with experience with this error code? I have been able to get some info via searching that it may be the drain line could be clogged? But for what research I have done it looks to be water related for sure.

Sounds like “high pressure” code, condenser airflow likely too hot or insufficient.

Common Cruiseair problem, hi ambient temps will cause the P5 shutdown.

Yep thanks Billy/Tom. Yeah I did more research on the POG site and found more info. The temp on my trip home was right around 100 most of the trip until the sun went down and then it stayed above 95 degrees. Billy are all three of your units up front behind the bumper? I have to do a better search because I thought all three of my units were there, maybe not. My salon unit worked fine the whole trip. Gonna check it out this weekend.

My 97 Marathon 40′ had all 3 behind the front bumper if that helps.

Jerry yes all 3 condensers behind front bumper. Front one on a swivel allows access to other two.

I have in past worked on paving crew. If the sun is out and 90 plus the actual road temp 1 ft above pavement approaches 140degF FWIW
