Dang Harry, wish I would have had that CC number yesterday when I paid to get my coach out of Stewart Stevenson for a R&R’ed Blower on my 8V92TA.

If you have oil analysis done, you’ll know the proper change interval for your driving and you’ll catch other issues if they exist.

I contacted Jeff and he’s two weeks out from being able to see me. I’ll take a drive later today and see what we’re looking at? It was so good to hear it fire up yesterday I’m just basking in the glow! Basking in the glow, I must have gotten that from a letters to the lovelorn somewhere. But we love our bus’s right?

Just to clarify, the 10 year limit mentioned in the post is not an absolute number. I believe our policy should be to not allow RV resorts to advertise on this site if they have any age limit and even if they make an exception based on a review of a photo of your coach.

We have members with a lot of non-Prevost coaches and of a wide range of ages and our purpose is to not support or promote any resort that discriminates against any member.

I took 4-5 years to zero mine out. Not only does it spread the initial expense, it sets you up for staggered subsequent replacements. If you can do some of your own work the initial cost will drop.

    Brett:

In 19 years we’ve had (double digits) coaches… embarassed to say. We just fell into our Prevost by accident while not even looking … the same way we fell in love and got married long ago. Enjoy life and your Eagle. If it’s gonna’ happen it will.

Stay clear of GA, no triple tow and you’ll be leaving something behind. You don’t suppose this guy exceeded 65′ do you?

    Bernie,

You were on to something, because it appears a red wire goes to the house batteries and after an isolator another red wire goes towards the back of the coach too.

So I guess if I did not have access to shore power I could at least plug this charger in to keep the chassis and house batteries charged.

On your welding trucks you had a better steel ground plane than a Prevost can ever dream of. I don’t know who your converter is but on a Marathon they run a battery cable for the ground from the roof plate to the frame. That’s as good as it get’s for a bus.

In any kind of traffic area the POS will get walked over due to low output wattage. If you hook up say a Cobra 29 to a Marathon existing antenna with the short steel whip you can get your SWR under 1.5 and talk for a few miles.

    Walt,

We have been running CB’s for over 40 years and I don’t know what in the hell your talking about. Are you running a no ground plane antenna?

    Later

    bv

On an edit I had to look that up Walt, sorry truckers don’t talk like that. If you want to know if Marathon installed yours you’ll have a ground cable in your front run box attached to the frame with a CB label on it.

Thanks HJ, yes we realy like the coach as well.It is rock solid, outstanding floorplan BUT I am working a deal as we speak on a bus. It is a stupid move on my part, but WTH. If I am going to upside down and in debt it might as well be on a bus..lol

I don’t even know this Jon you speak of, but he sounds villianous and racist against plastic…I bet he don’tev en havea credit card because it is plastic.

My belts are always tight … once I replaced the mini-airbags (leaked) and check-valve near the belt tensioner valve, my belts stay tight for a very long time. Have not noticed any of my belts rubbing anything at anytime.

Also, my Aux Compressor has nothing to do with my belts, unless I open my Marathon aux compressor valve. My belts are supplied with air from my primary compressor via the Aux Tank. Someome correct me on this if I’m wrong …
