Dan,
Your coach may be different, but when we were there last month, we left the inverters on, and they plugged us in to 15-Amp 110V so the refrigerator would stay on. -
Pres, my wife who works for Dometic, that now owns Atwood, told them two years ago that there was a problem. They engineered new water heaters, that didn’t fit the spaces of their older w heaters, while Suburban was making theirs fit Atwood’s holes. Being a female they blew her off, a few months ago a male colleague told them they had a problem now they are looking into it. So in the meantime check the Suburban sizes and you will find an exact fit without altering anything.

Great looking bus!!! Congratulations!!!

And I would suggest if it’s not an emergency, you email Leon first ( tsd@marathoncoach.com ) so he has some time to pull the build specs. He’s a busy guy but always returns his emails.

I checked our coach today and both altenators are 24V. One is a Delco Remy 50-DN (270A) and the other is a Delco Remy 26-SI (75A). Is there a 12V one that I do not know about? Remember, there is no such thing as a stupid question!

Davy actually pulled in right next to us last night. Problem is I didnt even know he showed up till 6:30 this morning when I got up to make coffee?
Good travels Davy! You looked to be on a tight schedule.

Sir, verify that when the transmission is repaired they will do inserts on all the filter bolts not just the damaged ones….

Robert,
… and the six that it does have are all in a straight line. Looks great but sounds like a truck.
Yves must have driven that on south before the weather set in. Nice work too!

When you have such mismatched voltages, it is due to either no or poor neutral wire and terrible miss matched loading on one leg.
Both issues are non exintant when wired as 120 volt only. When using the 120/240 volt connections is when load balancing is important and required for a nice running system. Some of the things that occur with such high voltage, you start to burn up things.. UL Listed equipment spec is 10%+/- voltage and 5% +/- frequency.

The coach we saw at Legacy was a beauty and had a slide installed by Panterra. Thanks again for the insight. Are you going to Branson? Hope to see you there.

Banjo fittings where good reused them the pump was good too flame detector bad to much heat on it nozzle I just put new one valves r turned on for hot water from motor bearings where most of the cause burner tube meted inside bearings slowed motor down flame was not being push hard enough flame detector was all dis colored too all good to go now motor looked like the original one I put updated one on I like no problems When I get done with the coach everything will be new if Trina will let me ha ha can’t wait to see you guys

I had the dreaded diesel odor and found the problem to be when Prevost assembled the coach they installed a very short vent hose which just let the fumes accumulate. The solution was to drop the tank and install a longer vent hose which solved the problem.

Thank you Guys,
I studied the task of removing the bolts and lowering the bumper as well as removing the ventilation screen behind the bumper to access the unit. My fear is that I don’t think there is enough height to get the unit out through that access, it looks to tall unless I am not seeing it clearly. Jon, nothing would make me happier than to be able to get lubrication to that bearing, I will take a look as I can get to the squirrel cage from underneath, but like you said, I am not hopeful of getting to it as I read the bearing is sealed.Richard

I do not believe that if it were not important, Prevost would not have gone to the expense of engineering to make it a sealed fit with rubber seals. Buses with side radiators have a cooling disadvantage from the start due to the negative air pressure along the side of the bus. A truck has the air forced through the radiator while driving while we have to do all we can to pull outside air in. I do not know what the air temp in the engine compartment is but with a 190 degree engine and 300 degree exhaust it has to be high. The fan is pulling through the radiator and the air current is going to come from the path of least resistance. Trying to cool a radiator with air that is probably hotter than the coolant in it is a loosing battle.
If I cannot find a used frame for the shutter I am going to manufacture one. You do not need the shutters, just the frame around the shutters. It does not have to be fancy just functional.
Ace, do you still have the old shutters? If so and the frame is not usable you can at least use them for a template to make a frame.

Wow, tough crowd 🙂
