I filled up the coach exactly one month ago today.
As you all know, we have to pull up a fair amount to line up the coaches fuel fill to the pump. So, our nose is sticking out pretty good.
The truck driver in front of me pulled up normally but it wasn’t enough for me to reach the fill. The ‘driver’ went inside so I waited.
When he came back and saw my predicament, he waved and mouthed ‘sorry’. I waved back. This particular fuel station is tight, if the truckers move up too much, they will blocked parked trucks too.
Safe travels and safe quarantine!

Would like to know how losses by Prevost compare to other brand coaches.
I hope to think the Prevost owners are in a class different to others. Hopefully we take better care of our coaches across the total ownership group compared to other brands.
As reported by Fulltimebill the coach that had a tire blowout with 07 tires. I would be surprised to find that age tires on a Prevost.
I agree with Jon that there needs to be an organized effort to get reasonable insurance.
This would require Prevost and converters to make a concerted effort to build a relationship and have a large pool of buy in Prevost owners.
That is a challenge as Jon so indicated that we can’t get a large number of members to go for the fuel discount program.
I want to ask how many have taken their car insurance and divided the car value into the coach value and multiplied the car premium by the result. Then compare that to what you are being charged for the coach premium.
Could we get the group to post loss results to get a comparison of the real exposure to the insurer. That is the type of data to fight the underwriters for realistic premium cost.
A thread for loss data may be appropriate to see how this group will respond to try and get realistic insurance cost.

Jeff, I have been pursuing that for a while now, and the greedier the current insurance companies get, the easier it will be to find someone willing to create a Prevost specific group insurance plan.
But with all respect to members who will not take advantage of opportunities such as the fuel discount program or a group insurance program, any plan to reduce the premiums and coverage we are seeing is going to take almost 100% participation. Imagine how good our fuel discounts could be if we got 80% or 90% instead of 5% to 10% of owners. We would have some serious muscle.
I was president of a school board and our school district self insured. We hired a program manager, we bought insurance to cover excess claims and we saved a ton of money, but we had 100% participation of our employees. Their premiums went down, our contribution costs of the plan went down and we all got better coverage. We cannot force members to join.
We have a huge pool of Prevost owners here. If we assume 2500 coaches, and the average coach owner pays $4000 for agreed value we have a pool of $10,000,000 to start. I have no clue what our current loss ratio is but it is clear we have some clout, but we have to get the volume, otherwise it will never happen.

Hello,
Are you asking what it has dropped from the original new price? Or how much has it depreciated from your purchase price? I assume you purchased it use? Good to hear from a fellow Oklahoman
Thanks

Looking to the future we have a long road ahead of us. I feel this isn’t going to be a temporary setback. That’s why when we left ORI Indio on the 18th, we prepped the place for our extended absence. We will try return 10/2021 if possible. Much economic strife will have past possibly making it impossible for us to use our busses safely on the roads
I hate to ge a “debbie-downer”, but we need wake up. You must according to my icu nurse contact your stste reps and senators to demand the president issue to executive order to nationalize our emergency and bring our assets to help our hospitals. Remember, if the doctors and Nurse die, we all die. Dont be fooled, this is going to be with us for a long time.

Karen & I have decided to cancel as well and stay put in AZ for at least the month of April for many of the reasons mentioned earlier. Things will be getting warm, but the really hot temps normally don’t start here until late May/early June. Hopefully, things will be settled out enough by then to head East/North, but if necessary we can stay put here as long as we need.

I do not have a sole loop to the HW tank.

I will look again at my settings, but I don’t think there was much I could do with mine. I may have missed something though….will check tonight or tomorrow to see.

Jon:
Your suggestion to recheck the Norgren was correct (see Picture). The front Passenger side Norgren was leaking at the one end.
I also used the level low to raise the coach all the way up to check the bags (didn’t find any bag leaks). The front exhaust tube on the front Norgren was leaking a little in the level low up position but stopped leaking once back in ride height?
As noted in my first post the coach settles almost evenly and slowly with a very slight lean to the passengers side. I have found no leaks in the rear of the coach, I am wondering is the Norgren on the front passengers side having a slow leak is allowing the entire passengers side to settle just that little bit more than the drivers side and it just happens to be a bit more noticeable at the passengers rear because the passengers rear mud flap is closer to the ground than the front when in normal ride height and the rear appears to show the reduced ground clearance sooner.

I’m surprised Kenny had his name on the back of his bus… Generally celebrities lake to maintain anonymity. You’ll notice Jon and Tom don’t have their names shown!
Rest in piece Kenny, you gave us some great music and entertained us for many years. You will be missed and may the Good Lord get you home before the devil knows you’re gone!

You need to follow all Government requirements (here in Athens, GA life as we know it is shut down) and hope for the best. Governments can’t stop this but separation and hand washing can dramatically increase your odds of getting sick. Keep in mind that getting sick does not mean you are going to die. Just like the flu, some folks get sick and some folks die. That’s been true since the beginning of time.
So far, less folks have died World wide than died in the US during the 2019 Flu season. What about the Swine flu 10 years ago? 545,000 people died Worldwide. I don’t remember anything even similar to this and the stock market went UP during that time period. I am not sure why the Government is working to scare the population to death but no matter the reason, it’s working!
