Hello Everyone,
There are people on this forum who do not want to discuss this. That is fair and by me starting a dedicated thread on this subject then those who do not want to discuss or read can do so.
My reason for this is so we as a group can discuss what we are doing and planning on doing in the near future. Regarding the usage of our coaches.
Sample topics could be:
1) Does anyone know what service facilities are planning to keep their staff safe. There is a reality that the trucking industry will have first dibs on repairs as people begin to become sheltered in their homes. My fear is leisure users will go the back of the line
2) Am I wrong in thinking that most of us are older. I am 63 and we are in the at risk group. I am in the Blue Cross system in Oklahoma, does anyone know what happens in out of network plans?
3) RV and state park closing…

Where we are there is a need list. We haul product to power plant that is high on list. As for age 73 here. ..Parks are closed. I answered this post before reading Jon’s post on other subject. I stated facts that change our business planning. I would like to see just who posted original topic as there is no signature line at all. Jon I support your decision completly. If it survives should be limited to facts!!! Bob

I know that the big 3 auto mfrs. are shutting down. In the next few days you will see all kinds of places closing. Car dealerships will also be forced to close. I guess the big truck service shops will be one but I doubt they would accept any RV’s. There is also talk of maybe stopping all travel that is not required ( such as transport trucks. Many of the auto parts big warehouses will also be forced to stop. You cannot have any places where people are close together

Re-read your post and take note of the statements you say are a guess and opinions. I will be the bad guy and shut down any discussions about the virus if posts are little more than guesses, opinions, speculation or information that has been repeated endlessly.
This is a site dedicated to Prevost enthusiasts and unless there is solid gold information supported by facts relative to our use of the coaches the conversation is going to be deleted.
There is nothing but a frenzy going on now as a result of what is turning into panic and I don’t want this site being a part of it.
Don’t blame Tom for my position on this.

we just left Outdoir Outdoor Resorts Indio Indio on March 18. Because of the forecast we didn’t take our shortest route, indio, Las Vegas, grand junction to Denver.
Alternately, we brought the bus home early from CA via Phoenix, Flagstaff, Albuquerque, to Denver
travel traffic was lighter but normal what we see on the 10. Interstate 40 the usual heavy truck traffic. I-25 thru N New Mexico traffic normal. We saw a usual RV traffic and into Colorado interstate 25 had usual sparse traffic due to small towns and population. We had to stop every 360 mikes to fuel our sprinter commuter vehicle we use every two weeks during winter as we leave the bus on our lot in CA. We did stop to top off the bus in Trinidad, CO yesterday late afternoon, ve with forecasted snowstorm the bus will sit outside until we free space up in RV bay currently crowded with winter project Normal truck and RV travel at truckstops albeit employees were out wiping pump handles and keyboards down while wearing gloves.
We left March 13 to head down to indio for our two weeks, but decided last week on the way down, our asset, the bus, needed to be home for piece of mind
Our resort is full functioning as a place to park your coach. But taking no arrivals or reservations. However, as of Monday this week, all activities canceled, office, will remain open but no entry for visitors at this time
With the bus, we stayed isolated from other people.The last week worth of days we ate all meals on our lot. Using the Fuel Programs available to us from PC, our social interaction with those around us was extremely limited-a good thing. So for our complete self containment we feel Bus travel a safer mode. BTW, our Wednesday night overnight spot was Gallup NM Wal Mart. Busy store, and we counted 53 RVs in the parking lot.

I do not know if this fits with the requirements of commenting set out but to the fellow Prevost patrons out there:
Most of us have been through the sell off in 1987, the tech bubble of 2000, 9/11, and the crisis of 2008. Having held the title of Executive Director-Investments of one of Wall Street’s largest institutional firms … I learned to believe in each of you and the contributions of leadership you daily make to our country as well as I learned a tremendous belief in this wonderful, powerful country.
Here we are again but stronger individually and as a nation. The underlying structure of our system is intact but simply damaged. It is totally capable of being absolutely re-invigorated at a pace that may be breath taking.
This too shall pass !

As always anyone needing a place to lay over we have space available to park…
As a business we have extra parts ordered from our vendors in the event they shut down we will continue to have parts for repairs…

Not much 4 wheel traffic out here folks. But it’s heartening to see the usual number of trucks. We blew through Indy yesterday and Louisville and Nashville today. Horrible rain and lots of empty parking lots. RV parks are open.

I can report on our run I 10 W to Lake Charles from Jacksonville Fla pretty much the same . Trucks some car traffic and empty Malls . Plan to drive through Houston early in the morning and would be shocked if there was no traffic . I guess i will know soon enough .

You can watch the daily events and scare the hell out of yourself or you can turn off the TV, take common sense precautions and just get on with your life. You need to follow all Government requirements (here in Athens, GA life as we know it is shut down) and hope for the best. Governments can’t stop this but separation and hand washing can dramatically increase your odds of getting sick. Keep in mind that getting sick does not mean you are going to die. Just like the flu, some folks get sick and some folks die. That’s been true since the beginning of time.
So far, less folks have died World wide than died in the US during the 2019 Flu season. What about the Swine flu 10 years ago? 545,000 people died Worldwide. I don’t remember anything even similar to this and the stock market went UP during that time period. I am not sure why the Government is working to scare the population to death but no matter the reason, it’s working!
