Hmmm. So the display times out and goes dark? I thought you could view your pressures continuously. That changes things. Thanks Jon.

al what year did this start?

There is a troubleshooting diagram in the operating manual. Follow the low/0 voltage decision tree. It will require checking stator and rotor voltages.
The question is why did the regulator burn up? Component failure or shorts in field windings, etc.
Less likely but if the generator has not been used in a long time, it could have lost residual field magnetism and now won’t self excite. This requires re-flashing the field. Just make sure you disconnect the new voltage regulator before you flash the field.

The source wire comes out of the engine bay electrical box and is labeled on the door of the electrical box. check it for power and then follow the wire to the light. You may have a short or loose connection.

I took my old tank to a local metal shop and told them what I wanted.
They copied my tank configuration but out of stainless steel. I removed and replaced it myself and saved a bunch, but I have the space and tools to do it. Plus I had the time to do it.

I recently did my first overnight at Cabela’s and give it a thumbs up.

But those Blueberry Pancakes! Who can resist!!

My last two coaches have had a stainless steel box with a hinged door mounted over the chassis batteries and compartments adequately sized to hold two lengths of sewer hose, plus my spare belts, plus my water hose.
But if I did not have that storage or a suitable alternative I would make a long sewer hose tube from plastic drain pipe. I would put a cap fitting glued on one end and a threaded cap on the other end so it could be sealed and I would store it in one of the storage bays on the driver’s side. If the bay was a pass through I would make the tube the full length. You just have to insure the sewer hose would not slip out of your reach once it is put in there.

Thread drift but Harry don’t come to Central Texas. These guys just look at it and marvel. One heavy mechanic asked me if I had to mix the oil with the diesel. Stewart Stevenson in San Antone is the place i trust mine too and they only have one man left, and an old one , that’s worked there 30 years. . It’s only a couple hours away. Now down around the Gulf Coast there are a lot of the old guys that know them as the shrimp boats still run some.. These are , sad to say, a dying breed unless you work on them yourself.

Jon,
You have it backwards; If the RPMs get too high, the transmission will call for an upshift to a higher gear to lower the RPM.

I think we are going to commit.

Dorel,
I don’t understand why you would do that. Why tax your system to overload.
A Featherlite is wired different and it all depends what items are wired to each inverter to determine what kind of load it can carry when you turn them on.
Where do you guys go in this country that you need to run 4 cruise airs or 4 roof airs parked on shore power. Granted the swamp climate is taxing to cooling a bus but I have never ever had to run 4 roof airs in the desert to keep a bus at 71 degrees.
Jerry, are your condenser’s for the basement cruise airs on the bus roof in the rear?
