    Good question Andy.

My previous 2 Liberty coaches had stainless steel holding tanks. My current one came with the aluminum tank and I changed it out to stainless steel this past summer. I also dodged a bullet because my tank was in immediate danger of failing.

Full disclosure: My daughter owns my former factory and she had my stainless steel tank made to my specifications. I am not involved in any of this tank replacement issue because I don’t want anyone thinking I have an agenda to sell tanks. I replaced my tank only because I felt uncomfortable with the use of aluminum for a holding tank.

Diane, probably going to Jeff’s is the best plan. I’ve been trying to get Drives since March. I already had a date by Jeff in mid Oct and now he’s reserving my 315’s and getting them along with Pressure Pro installed while I’m there. We got our 365’s in April.

Just for the record (again) when we bought our second coach we thought we were nuts because the decor was not us. We would not have ordered it, had we not had a Liberty prior to that one we would have walked away, but we knew Liberty coaches and were partial to them. As far as the layout and systems it checked all the boxes.

It did not take us long to really like what we considered an off-the-wall decor. Great lesson in that the appearance is not as important as we initially thought and even if it wasn’t one we really liked, by the time we sold the coach we had come to enjoy how it looked a lot.

What pump do you have Granvil? If it’s a Headhunter, there is a removable cap on top for priming. If you suspect air in the pump, open at least 3 faucets fully, then turn on the pump and allow it to purge the air. When all faucets have water, shut them down and the pump should build to cut-off pressure and quit.

Prevost told me you could run the OTR air when on High Idle all day long if you want to. Doesn’t hurt anything but fuel consumption.

    Jon,

I can’t find any wording in the manuals requiring it, but then again I suppose not everything is reflected in the manuals. All I can find is this:

    PA-1164 2003 DDEC IV:

“Special precautions are necessary with turbocharged engines to avoid possible turbine damage. After starting, run the engine at normal idle for two minutes to allow lubricating oil to reach the turbocharger. Then run the engine at fast idle. Let oil pressure reach normal operating range before driving”.

I exercise my bus every three weeks and so far the accessory air system always has at least 90 psi in it before I start the engine – it never leaks down in the 3 week interval. I never dump air at the fan belt air-bellow so loose belts aren’t an issue for me. I have minimal house systems on acc air; the only addition over standard Prevost chassis stuff is the air slide for the entryway stairs. All this is probably true for your typical seated bus; i.e., they drive them periodically, accessory air is always aired up, they may follow the above 2 minute rule, with the result that the belts are almost always under tension prior to coming off idle.

Just for the record, Jon and I would never allow a business or individual to be slandered on this forum, whether the business was an advertiser or other, such as Doug at Excalibur. This post by Larry was allowed to stay because there are obvious problems, not made up or phony claims.

We applaud Doug for coming on the forum and state his side of the issue and trying to come to a resolution.

Let’s hope both parties can sort it all out, but this whole issue will not be swept under the rug as on other sites.

use caution if you decide to do this. Remember if you catch road debris it could catch on the cable and open it. So if you do install, try to route it high and out harms way as much as possible. I am not a fan of these and with proper maintance don’t see the need in them.
