  • OKC Show, Tell & Flaunt Your Stuff

Posted by Archived on September 19, 2014 at 5:21 pm

Just for fun, we have all day Saturday and the evening at the campground and I propose an open bay display. Open up all your bays, let folks look at your stuff, brag about your Converter and get ideas on how to store things as well as organization and goodies you just have to have.

    What say you?

Must be Tom has gotten his bays all arranged and pretty.

Yeah, but we have the prettiest boiler room going.

I think Jeff has nailed it.

OK, kidding aside Tom’s idea is a good one. Apart from the show and tell aspects along with bragging about how copper pipes are prettier than white plastic, I think we can all benefit from having an opportunity to look at the bays and inner workings of the various conversions.

There is no better way to learn about a coach than to understand how the converter put them together. It will be a good opportunity to look how all the converters do things, ask questions, and get a better understanding of your coach. Those that know their coaches well will help those relatively new by helping them understand how things work, and how to access and repair things.

For anyone planning on buying a coach this will be a perfect opportunity to see and understand how the different conversions are built and layed out while talking to owners who know both the good points and the not so good.

What I would like to see is the various mounting options for the bay TV. I want to upgrade to a flat screen and looking at what others have done would be great.

The easiest way to solve the problem of mounting a bay TV is to buy a bus with one already mounted. I’m thinking you must be ready to sell this one and get another, right?

y’all are going to have so much fun ! I’m sorry we cannot make it ! Gary’s health is more important than hitting the road while he is still sick ! I need him well so he can drive LOL 🙂 Anyway, just a suggestion for something to do in Oklahoma City…. Our friends Robert and Sharon Walters live there and they tell us that Penny Town ( which is downtown Oklahoma City ) is really cool. What they did was impose an extra penny tax on everyone in Oklahoma City and they re-built downtown. He said it’s all brick structures, walkways etc. I think it borders the river ?? He said a lot of great eating places downtown. Have a great time folks ! We will be there with you in spirit and catch you on the next non rally 🙂

I like the idea, Tom. I pick up my bus Wednesday from having electronics updates, so I’m not sure what it will look like. I don’t think my furniture cam in though, so that will be the same old.

    Gary & Megan…

So sorry that you won’t make the Rally but more sorry that Gary isn’t well… take good care of him and hopefully he will bounce back quickly.

    You will both be missed.

    Cheers, Diane
