  • Bus sightings

Posted by Larry on August 14, 2014 at 11:15 pm

As we travel in western CO, UT and MT many times we never see another Prevost. In the last two days from Grand Junction, CO to Dillon, MT we have seen a total of eight. In 700 miles. A rare event for us. One older XL, three XLV’s, one XLii, two XL3’s and one H3 with a big stacker. We may have missed some.

    Larry and Pat,

You sure keep out a keen eye!

We saw three or four coming back from Asheville, NC, to Memphis, TN, in the last two days. The one that caught my attention was between Jackson, TN, and Nashville, TN, yesterday. It was white and black on the front (white bumper, black at the windshield) and then turned into swirls along the side. It was pulling a matching trailer. Looked nice!

I’m realizing how small the Prevost world is…….. everybody recognizes the buses, it’s hard to be incognito!

    MM.

Larry, hope you folks aren’t playing the “Slug Bug” thing we did as kids but with Prevost’s, when driving down the road and we seen a VW Bug you got to punch your brother. I didn’t like the game much cause my brother was twice my size. Luckely there wasn’t many VW’s back in the early 60’s. I never would have made it.

    Take care,

Wednesday on my way from OKC to Tulsa is saw 3 Prevost in a caravan heading west on I-44 almost to OKC. I must say, thats quite an impressive sight…especially when viewed from a car!

No slug games. Just Pat and me in our bus and I know better than to mistreat her. Married 50 years in June.

As I imagine some of you are on Facebook, there is a group called Bus Nuts which was set up by Wade Staley who I believe is an advertiser on PC. There are hundreds of members who post sightings of various entertainer buses across the country. Occasionally there will be a MH coach picture posted. Interestingly some of these drivers know the bus’ names just by the paint schemes. Check it out when you get a chance.

Wades a great guy and we’re glad he’s on PC. If you’re looking for a bus, check out Wades inventory.
