Michelin Tire availability !!
I have spent a couple of weeks trying to find some new tires and there just aren’t any in Texas… Ordering them is also a joke !! I am told they are not manufacturing them right now… What ??? I can’t believe it !!
Snider Tire in Arlington have had them on order for a couple of months and still haven’t received them and NO word on when they might get them.
We are signed up on the Michelin Advantage Program here too… Advantage?? not hardly if there aren’t any??
Anyone have an inside track here… I am really annoyed and that’s puting it mildly !!

It looks to me like you haul ass to East Tennessee for new shoes, then haul ass to Dallas or maybe Prevost Nashville for some fixin, then on to OKC for play!

even the older style 12R22.5 we’re not available nor being made. I went with the new M170 Toyo.
only rolled them for 300 miles so far but they are still round and smooth. A little cheaper than the Michelin with the discount applied. Several folks over on the Bus Conversion Mag site running them and they all seem pleased so far. I put them on the steer and tags balanced with glass beads.

Call Jackie at Prevost Ft. Worth, course it won’t be part of the Advantage Program but they do very nice work. Also. FWIW, I have used the Toyo’s and they wear like iron although I would say that they are a bit harder riding than the Michelins however they are significantly less expensive. Finally, I had the same problem last year and found tires far away but they needed to be shipped……….very expensive to ship 8 315’s anywhere.

had the same problem out here in georgia. ended up getting toyo’s. put 4000 miles on them in a month and they ran great. cheaper then the michelins and they had them available.

Jeff… I wish we could make it over there…would the tires be through the Michelin Advantage program…we are already set up on the program through PC… if we could just get over there we wouldn’t have to go the Prevost Ft Worth… Jeff could take care of everything… We need 4 X 365s and 4 X 315s…. ours are 5.5 years old… few miles on them but old. Liberty installed them May of 2009.
Thanks for the Toyo suggestion… but I do want to stick with Michelins at this point.
Prevost Ft Worth does have them in stock but no advantage program though…they quoted us $1188.90 for each 365 and $1088.90 for each 315. = $9,111.20.
When we bought our last 315s through the program they were around $600 a piece.
Does anyone know what the Michelin Advantage Program price would be today??
Tom… didn’t you just buy a set???
Curious as to what the savings would be?

I WOULD haul ass over there in a second if I could get Larry out of the office that long !!
If we did that we wouldn’t have to go to Prevost Ft. Worth either… Jeff could do it all.

We paid less than 7000 for 365’s this past May. Still looking for 4 315’s though.

Paid just under $ 700 each for 315s in July with the last week of May 2014 production dates. Thanks for the PC tire program. The $ saved for tires and fuel is a lot more than the dues.

Put Larry in the Suburban after the OKC rally, and you just follow us in the bus. After Jeff waves his magic wand over your coach you can head back to TX.

Using our program, I paid 5714.40 for (4) 315’s and (4) 365’s. Add another 3000 for mounting.

Diane, probably going to Jeff’s is the best plan. I’ve been trying to get Drives since March. I already had a date by Jeff in mid Oct and now he’s reserving my 315’s and getting them along with Pressure Pro installed while I’m there. We got our 365’s in April.
