All I can say is that as the number of freeloaders at ETLC increases, the Drug Enforcement Agency is going to be scrutinizing all activities there because with the ever increasing use of electricity they are beginning to believe there is a huge underground pot growing farm at work there.

I had only three devices on my Aux Marathon Compressor. I know have two. I disconnected the air-bed lift and use the gas pistons, which I repositioned, to easily raise the bed once a month. Another pneumatic device I didn’t need.
As stated, some are must have’s, and some are just nice to have … but they can certainly be a pain chasing down the leaks if you rarely use them.

Guess I’ll be looking to upgrade my In-Motion DTV in the next year or so. It’s 16 years anyway, so the thought had crossed my mind.
But does this mean that if you have an In-Motion Satellite Dish and use DTV, that your Satellite Dish will be useless?

Jon,
Just want to say thank you for posting the information you learned about tires.

Cleaning off the top of the slide is a good practice. The seal is critical and any foreign material can get past the wipers and damage the bladder on the seal at the worst, or at the very least can prevent the bladder from sealing against moisture.
For those of us that are lazy we can hit the highway with the slides out, get it up to a speed of about 85 MPH to blow off debris and then retract the slides.

Gone Crazy… I guess this is as good as time as ever to bring this up…I’ve been sick in bed for 3 days and in a bad mood and there are not many participants on this post.
I guess my question is why do you type so erratically with caps before certain words and all caps on other words and so much punctuation where it doesn’t belong? This is not normal English and your typing style is not found in any magazine, newspaper, or book.
The reason I bring it up is only for the fact that your dialogue is very hard to read. In fact, a month or two ago, I quit reading your posts because it is so annoying and hard to read. I wanted to send you a PM but your email isn’t listed.
I mean no disrespect. I just wish you would type in normal English as we were all taught in school. It would make the dialogue flow much better.

To be “balanced” ALL the cables have to be the same length. If one feeder cable is longer or has more connections it has higher resistance and will allow fewer amps to flow from that battery. But even if you get all the wires the same length, each battery has slightly different internal resistance which will influence how many amps it delivers in a parallel setup.
Pulling from the middle is better as you only have to go through 2 connections vs. 4 to reach the last battery but I would not call it “perfectly balanced”.
If in doubt I would stick with the way the coach manufacturer has wired the batteries.

I have my Marathon book, but it is not very comprehensive, and it is for an H3-45. Not sure what would apply to your friend’s coach.

Cliff… I sent you 3 pdf. files… hope they help you.

Don’t forget the control air for the tag brake interlock valve comes from the line supplying the tag air bag. If that R-12 valve leaks control air, your rear on that side will go down.I had small leaks leaks even after new Norgren and airbags, until I changed the R-12 valves. Now I stay up for weeks.

Brett,
When the right coach for you comes along you are going to have that “eureka” moment. It cannot be explained but all of us that have had it knew we found the right bus before we got past the top step.
You cannot apply logic to the decision. We know that. Buying and owning a coach makes no sense except to those that do own a coach. We spend far too much money to acquire one, and then far too much money maintaining one, and we never use them enough to even begin to justify ownership. So if you are having these moments when you seek clarity maybe you need to step back and realize you are allowed, and actually better off in this instance in going with what your gut tells you. Your decision does not have to make sense, and for sure it cannot be justified by measuring anything related to cost.
Do nothing, or get what you really want. Do not look back. Do not feel guilty no matter what the decision.

I have looked up here Bob most of the Buses up here are new plastic passenger Buses or they are old junk that have seen to many salty roads. I will keep looking the door frame is good just cosmetic damage -
Karl and Natalie,
I’am sad to see your post above.
We all understand that changes are made and hobbies also change. As you do your captain’s license I also have a feeling your second guessing your boat choice.
Anyone looking for a coach way above the norm should check Karl’s bus out. I have been on board and it has been updated extensively.
My USCG lic is 50 ton, western rivers, eastern waterway’s clockwise, 3 mile outside radius. Currently parked in file. Parking the lic was an option after selling our boat and unable to document sea time.

Both Webasto and AquaHot tend to use a relatively large amount of battery power just because of the amount of power drawn to run the burner unit, circulating pump(s) and the fans at the heat exchangers. If I run my Webasto I also tend to run the generator, but as Rudy says as long as your batteries have a good charge you do not need to run the generator.
