I’ve said on this Forum and I’ve told prospective Prevost buyers who call me for information, ideas, and opinions that without the PC Forum:
1. we probably would have not bought a Prevost.
2. if we had, we would have probably sold it by now.
I’ve accepted the fact that when I need help the PC Forum is the place to go for the most most accurate information and advice anywhere.
That said, there are some smart folks on the Facebook pages, a few of which are here too. I find the Facebook posts interesting. Lots of tire kickers, prospective Prevost owners, and new owners on the Facebook pages.

Prevost likely won’t change out your house batteries Randy, they used to do that but I was told no more, chassis battery changes OK. I doubt I would have any 4DL’s available for your March date, but if I do I’ll contact you.

Who’s bragging about old technology, did you miss your dose of Prevagen and Prune Juice today? We were pointing out how things have changed, for the better, with all the technologies.

I’ve never used anything, I don’t get the need. Liberty owners are self protected with the rose petal automatic dispenser as discussed here many times in the past.

So tell me what the login process has been different in the past to now. I click on my PC bookmark and i get my login info and I hit submit and I can choose any of the choices. I highlight forums and go directly to the forums.
Is it the fact you have to select forums. I think they are offering all the resources as first option. I understand if you are not in the market for a coach, you don’t want to see classified, but the PC member is paying and who is trying to sell wants a front door to his listing on the PC forum.
I have no problem with the new look of the web page. I think we should all take a step back and thank Jon and Truk (even though he has gone to the dark side) for developing a great resource for Prevost info. Jon is still as well as Truk contributing info about our problems.
This is a new year and I think we should all be looking at what the government is doing to invade our privacy.
If you are going to California look out for dump tamk testing to be the next step in their chemical not allowed ruling,RV’s will have to go through the weigh station and dump a sample to determine you are not bringing toxic waste into the great state Looney land.

Not all leaks are capable of identifying with soapy water.
The “piston” that the rubber rolls over is not part of the air bag. As a result the metal can that the bottom of the rubber is bonded to can leak due to age and corrosion or the bond between the rubber can start to leak. They are under the piston and will not be reached or see soapy water. Adding to the issue ultrasonic leak detectors are great, but will not detect leaks in rubber, such as a hose or air bag.
One area rarely considered as applicable to rear end suspension leaks is the 3 port exhaust valves in the steer compartment. Dump air and note where the valve is located in the steer compartment and then plug the exhaust port to see if that stops the leans. On a Liberty note the addition of 2 3 port solenoid operated Norgren valves which also function as exhaust valves.

The leans are due to the lean side rear air bags losing air. This can come from any number of things. i replaced all my airbags, Norgrens, fittings, and airlines, and upon the first air up, it leaned to the left. For me this was a leaking air fitting on the top of the Bag. I recommend pulling the drives off, and tag if you want and filling up a squirt bottle with soap solution and soak everything down. If there is a leak you should find it quick. The other area I would check is the air exhaust port when you dump the air. It is possible air is leaking aback thru the Norgren to this valve. Again soap it up and you should find your issue.

Last week or two
1) Removed leaking steering assist cylinder from pass side front axle, along with associated lines from cylinder to bulkhead and bulkhead to steering box. Plugged hydraulic ports on box. Prevost has a Service Bulletin on doing this (Dec 96 I think). Also changed P/S filter and about 1 1/2 gal of fluid.
2) Repaired leaking tag axle lift chamber, replaced diaphragm.
3) Replaced tax axle maxi’s (spring brake) chambers with service chambers only. Been having an issue with tag calipers slightly dragging. Exact same calipers and brackets as steer axle – spring brakes were only variable. I think applied spring puts considerably more pressure on caliper than service brake application, and it sits that way (or did) way more than free.
4) Few weeks ago, replaced all house (6 4D’s) and two gen start batteries. THANKS Tom for the great service!
