I sure miss the old days, so many friends around the country, but things change. After my last Prevost, number 7, I flipped to the dark side. Bought a new Super C, then a Dutchstar, then decided I wanted a new 5th wheel. OMG, 3 months after buying the company closed their doors and the values went in the toilet. So I bought a 2022 bus. We really like it, has all the bells and whistles and is Cummins powered. Got ya there boys, the bus is a Tiffin Allegro Plastic Bus. The harassment from the real bus guys has been pretty sporty, I wouldn’t have it any other way.
So blow the horn if you see me, I’ll be looking for the finger. Oh by the way, I have spent $0.00 on repairs since my last real bus, but sure have a soft spot in my heart for rivets.
Your turn Mark…..

Through Jessica’s diligent detective work the previously discussed situation has been handled.
Thanks to all that brought it to our attention.

I have a humming in one of my Magnum inverter chargers. When I put the charger portion in standby the humming stops. Considering they are headed out the door, should I get it serviced or is it just a normal thing?

They were on. Do these have converters? Where would it be?

Borrowed a battery tester today and found one of the 8 house batteries was in bad shape. Replaced the bad one this evening and will check everything tomorrow after the battery bank has a chance to equalize tonight.

TowingThread Carguy
Towing2022-23 Jeep CAUTION I purchased a new 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee to tow behind my motorhome. I towed if from my home in Orlando to Petoskey MI in June without issue except for some problem codes regarding tire pressure, etc.
I left Petoskey traveling just to west of Philadelphia in late September. Stopped at service plaza and had to disconnect toad.(long story). Hooked toad up following manual instructions to the letter. Checked at least twice to be sure the park assist did not activate parking brake. It was definitely not on when exiting car.
Had window down on coach and watching camera to be sure everything ok. Got about 1/2 mile on Penn turnpike with Barriers on both sides and no shoulders. Heard loud tire screeching and heavy black smoke coming from toad. Had to stop in active traffic lane and get out. Discovered the parking brake on. Released it and towed another 50 miles without incident.
While unhooking I noticed the Jeep sitting very low on the driver side. Took to Jeep store and learned air bag had exploded from the heat and rear tires were flat spotted. They did a 4 wheel alignment and said it was good to go. Left there with car pulling badly to right. Obviously there are more serious suspension problems. Will resolve when I get home.
Reason for this post is to share what I learned the hard way. Most likely this problem was caused by the forward collision control malfunctioning applying the parking brake or the parking assist.
I learned the hard way before towing:
A. Be sure forward collision control is turned off in settings.
B. In order to defeat parking assist when you start process attach the driver seatbelt and leave it attached until you are unhooking car. This turns parking assist off
C. When getting the transfer case into neutral keep driver door shut until car is fully turned off. Opening door could activate parking assist which in turn activate the parking brake.
D. Watch for the red brake light on instrument cluster. If lit be sure to releaseHope this help’s
update:
Found out why Jeep pulled hard to right and dived left when braking. There is a large crack in the frame that is easily visible. Amazing the Pennsylvania dealer did not say a word about this. Fortunately the area cracked is a bolt on subframe. Will be an expensive repair, but worst part will be frame damage repaired on the car fax when I want to get rid of It. Sure wish I had chose a different tow vehicle
Car has a new owner and will definitely not buy another to tow

I believe the bulk of water volume for/to my Headhunter toilet is provided by my existing 4.5 gal surge/diaphragm/expansion tank.
There is a 1″ id flexible line out of the Groco pump, goes to a 1″ id copper T-type fitting screwed into the bottom of my 4.5 gal surge/diaphragm/expansion tank. The 1″ outlet of the this T fitting goes into another 1″ id copper T fitting. That T has 1″ id copper entrance, and two 1″ id exits. one of the exits has 1″ flexible line going to the Headhunter toilet.
The other exit from this second T fitting immmediately necks down to a smaller size and feeds everything else in the coach via that gray polybutylene plumbing.
My old Groco operated at 38 psi cutout and 30 psi cutin.
When hooked up to home/park water source there is a pressure reducer lowering incoming pressure to 35psi.
My point to all this is I don’t believe it needs a expensive Groco/Headhunter/Mach5 high volume pump.
I’ve yet to take my old Groco apart to see if its repairable, but I will.
Wish me luck 🙂

I’ll be the oddball here, I WANTED straight front axle for the same reason I didn’t want slides – simple with fewer potential issues.
When we found this one that checked all boxes – Series 60, OTR A/C (R134A), dark interior (that was a tough one), exterior color(s) we liked and NO roof airs (simply due to building height at home) – I was super happy when I looked under the front end when 1st saw it – and was SFA.
Wouldn’t have been a deal breaker but certainly a plus for me.

What product did you use? I think I’m seeing more than one product referred to as “bus kote”. Was there clear coat on your roof?

Just FYI ATC fuses are only rated to 32v. Mine had a fuse in line from alt to the external regulator when the alt was configured for 12v regulator. When I swapped it to the 24v regulator it melted that fuse from arcing. Replaced the fuse and same thing. I wouldn’t run atc fuses if any of that is 24v but I guess it’s better than nothing as they have and that setup looks great
