  • Latest Coolant Analysis Report

Posted by DON on July 9, 2020 at 12:42 pm

Got my latest used coolant analysis report and all is well again.

This coolant, Prestone Command HD SCA Pre-Charged ESI, is 36 mths old w/12, 500 miles. It’s a “conventional HD pre-charged 2 yr” coolant. It’s life can be extended with the proper dosage of SCA, which I have done w/Fleetguard WF2131 need release coolant filter 1+ yr ago. SCA stands for supplemental coolant additive, which is a chemical package to fortify the coolant anti corrosive property and other good stuff.
My plan is to leave this coolant in our DD 60 series for another yr.
I do have 13 gals of DD Power Cool Plus 100% concentrate in storage, which is an OAT/extended life coolant, or a 5 yr coolant, before it may need an extender additive.
For now I’ll stick with this load of conventional coolant.

    Here’s our latest report:

Our coolant is Prestone Command HD w/SCA Pre-Charged, part# AFC10000. The water filter I initially used was a “blank: Fleetguard # WF2077. Then April of 2019 we installed a Fleetguard “Need Release” # WF2131. This coolant has been in service in our 96 Liberty XL40 for 51 months and 21k miles.
