Yes, I remember when I attended the seminar at Jeff’s. As I recall Tom gave one of his more enlightening speeches entitled “How to Properly Place your Cheeks on a cold porcelain toilet”. Many thought Tom stank up the place and I admit to feeling a little flush.

But I remember at the end, no pun intended… Tom gave us the peace sign and we returned half of it!

    Mark:

Never thought about putting a emergency switch in the drivers compartment for the toll window. Is that something you had done or is it something the newer Prevost have?

All done. Not as bad as I was thinking it was going to be except for two rusty bolts that took a lot of sweat in the South Carolina heat and humidity to get off.

Thanks to all that offered advice on doing this safely. We are a small but valuable community.

    Everyone stay safe.

I said it before and will repeat it. We are despised because we are rich bastards driving a Prevost.

    Drive and act accordingly.

When you fill your tank put a 32Oz bottle of hydrogen peroxide in and it will kill any germs that are in the tank and there will be no taste of the peroxide. I have done this for years because at home we had well water. With city water they have added chemicals to do this for you.

My recommendation would be to install a couple of plumbing union’s. One for the intake and one for the output lines. If you don’t already have a quick disconnect of some sort. I have changed my pump out several times and it makes it a lot easier/quicker.

See if there’s a Swagelok store or dealer in town. Those are the best.

I doubt if you can get those at HomeDepot.

Maybe NAPA will have or can quickly get DOT compression fittings for you.

I will be watching this with interest. I just discovered mine had disintergrated and now just have a big hole that that shown in your picture. Did Prevost have a replacement part? I may do that for the time being.

Chuck, if you end up failing to find leaks give consideration to the air bags regardless of age. As Art posted older air bags crack and begin to get slow leaks, but where the top caps and bottom cans join the rubber leaks can also develop.

The reason for checking end caps on the Norgrens is the O rings on the spools can leak at the ends with air escaping around the perimeter of the end cap. They are not sealed.

Can we stop discussing this here? I’m pretty sure we all have opinions but few facts. Let’s rely on the media and politicians and actors to provide the necessary advice and make PC the one spot on earth free of discussion about a virus.
