Shore Power Receptacle Replacement
All,
I am replacing a cracked shore power receptacle. To be safe, please advise on the safety precautions that I may need to take. I am aware of shutting off 24V and 12V. What else should I do.

Can you be more specific? The shore power receptacles on the coach have nothing to do with 12 or 24 volt DC power so they can be left on.
The only concerns would be potential back feeding, such as from an inverter, but a test for voltage would verify that would not be an issue.
My only concern would be to make sure nothing you work on will be “hot”. Some older coaches have had repairs and modifications that were poorly done and could be dangerous.

Replaced mine a couple of yrs ago with a Camco Powergrip #55255 from amazon.

Jon, I did a check with a fluke meter. Is this to what you are referring?
Don, I am talking about the receptacle located on the coach that when connected to shore power provides electric needed. Not the male receptacle for the cord.

Yes, I installed one on my race trailer 2 mths ago.
Marinco 6373EL-B, about $150 from amazon

And the male that plugs into it is Marinco #6360CRN. The wx proof cover is for the setup is Marinco# 7715CRN

All done. Not as bad as I was thinking it was going to be except for two rusty bolts that took a lot of sweat in the South Carolina heat and humidity to get off.
