Dick, it installs just like Formica and then comes the highly labor intensive part…instead of routing the edges like formica you polish them by using ever decreasing grit sand paper til they are like glass. Geo.

I have used 4 X 4 pressure treated blocks to make cribbing to get under the chassis support points in the past. The only problem with using soft wood such as the pine in the 4 X 4 is where the weight was concentrated the wood was crushed a little.

I think to make ramps where they support the tires there would be no issues at all.

New door handle installed! Only issue is the new handle does not have the pre notched hole for the door bell (a marathon thing?). Prevost drilled out a hole and we are better than new! Only cost $1 coach buck. (ie $1,000). Oh and i picked up two new wiper blades just in case of rain!

New handle is great! Much much smoother opening than the prior one. I did not get photos as they hand the old out and new one in before i could snap a few photos.

Thanks to everyone who chimed in on this issue. I made some progress yesterday with a representative of Explorer /National. They have agreed to accept recent photographs, bill of sale and a letter from the Exchange stating a value of my coach to make their determination. Sent images in yesterday along with upgrades made since purchased. Will send remainder of rerequested documents Monday when I receive letter from Stuart, FL. Will post update when I receive word from underwriter.

A word of thanks goes out to Dave Wishnoff at Liberty for seeing this string on PC and giving me a call then offering assistance. Between Dave, Jon and all of you I’m going to need a bigger gumbo pot. Stay tuned and thanks again.

Great job BA, looks like a new bus.

IBP is not one of our Advertisers. We have done our best, personal visit by Jon and I, numerous phone calls and an e-mail telliing us they wanted to be an Advertiser, but no action on their part. They are truely missing the boat by not being on the PC site. We put them on the site free for 3 months, that’s the best we can do.

We hope they’ll join up one day, maybe our members who deal with them can nudge them a little.

    Fred,

Try this… Kill the power to the pump, then open every faucet on the bus wide open. Then turn the pump back on and let it run for 2 -3 minutes. Then start turning off faucets and see if it finally shut off. That’s the procedure Headhunter told me to do that removes any air that may be in the system and it works. If that doesn’t help, like others have said, you can get a new pump for about half the price. Headhunter

PS – Tell Dave you use the Truckstop shower:)

Speaking of fan clutch changes. Prevost in Richmond, BC installed a new clutch in my 2004 H3. Turns out the old style has been superseded. The new one is a slightly larger dimension and required repositioning the entire fan pivot braket (the part that get’s cinched down by the inflatable air bags). I’m still not pleased with the fan’s orientation in the shrouding. It’s canted over such that the bottom edge of the fan is out from the shrouding around and inch while the upper end is complete inside the shrouding. I suppose a smaller circumference set of fan belts might solve this problem. Has anyone here experimented with this?

    Thanks
