I’m in on the LED. Where do I source one? If I had a part number on the original maybe I could cross reference the LED.

My cabinet might not be exactly like yours. I removed the built in Black and Decker coffee maker and remodled the cabinet to have a conventional back with electrical outlet. In the cabinet a MrCoffee 4 cup maker now fits along with the filters and coffee when closed for travel. When parked I have the coffee maker on the counter. If 4 cups is too small for you, you can make more than one pot.

Yes, all mine will lock with the handles up to. But the plumbing bay does not lock every time when the handles are down. It is trying to lock. I can hear it clicking but it is not locking. Your problem may be different but try every bay after you have locked them with the switch.

Prevost ownership will most likely be a
lifestyle change for most. Over the last 8 years we have made many
friends around the country, some we see several times a year and
others we may not see for several years. Somehow we manage to stay in
touch, whether it’s a phone call, e-mail or just reading the forum.

One thing for sure with us, when it’s
time to throw in the towel and quit buying diesel fuel, the memories
and good times will never be forgotten and we won’t be sitting on the
porch talking about how we wished we would have done that.

So if you’re out there thinking about
buying a bus, just do it, you won’t have any regrets.

In my boating days things were pretty simple. Black from the toilet or marine talk “the head” went into a single holding tank. All other went into the body of water the boat was currently sitting on top of. All works well in the USA but going to Canada nothing goes into the water, everything in tanks.

I believe Liberty coach has eliminated the two tank system and installed a single tank for any and all. It does make sense at least to me of having one tank which ends up in one drain pipe anyway. So why separate in the first place ?

Maybe some government agency has dual holding tank authority ? ……Just thinking

Going solely by memory I believe the roof skin on your coach is aluminum. If my memory hasn’t completely failed it was applied hot so when it cooled it drew itself tight.

Perhaps folks that visited the factory in this decade have a better recollection.

Well I broke down and ordered almost $20000 worth of air bags, shocks and valves from Prevost this morning. I guess I know what I am going to be working on for a while!!!

    John,

My garden can use some of that stuff you are spreading. Any chance you could ship some east?

I do have 3 gauges of stainess wire and 3 wire twist tools.

    Bill,

I think this applies to your coach, but if not my bad for making an assumption.

Near where your chassis voltage regulator is mounted there is a Vanner Battery Monitor. The manual for it can be found here: http://www.vanner.com/manuals/EM70D.pdf

You can check the chassis voltage at the terminals with the engine running. You may have to pull the push on terminals back slightly to expose the spade. The manual provides the correct voltage ranges and if the voltages are not within the range specified the monitor will light the warning light on the dash. Some versions of the monitor were not as reliable as they should have been and they gave false signals relating to problems. I am not saying you don’t have a failure in your charging system, just that you can check voltage values conveniently at the monitor to verify voltages. If they check out the monitor is bad, if not at least you know the warning light is correct.

It sounds like your coach has a dedicated 12 volt house alternator, so you are likely to have a chassis alternator that essentially charges the batteries without going through an isolator. If you want to check it out the easiest way is to apply 24 volts directly to the field wire or terminal on the alternator from the batteries. Start the engine and if the alternator is OK the voltage will continue to climb unabated past the normal regulated voltage of about 27.7. Either kill the engine or disconnect the power from the batteries to the field terminal or wire because unregulated voltage can damage coach components. I suggest having your tester hooked up to read voltage so your hands are free to either shut the engine down or pull the wire once you see voltage reach or pass 27 or 28 volts.

What you see if the voltage reaches those level and beyond is that the alternator is functioning. If it is not working the voltage will not exceed battery voltage. Should it not work there is a new alternator in your future. If it does work, it is probable you have a voltage regulator that has malfuncted (a technical term).

Does your tag lift work on that side? or tag air bag just exhaust and not lift? Trace line down from lift air cyl to valve. Like they said ck diag but gives you somewhere to start :could be feed/supply for tag lift. Quick bypass if they were leaking and if memory serves me correct supplies both sides. That is the way my 98XLE is . as far as lowering it is also controlled by nor valves and one thing to ck is make sure your tag is also trying to lower on the side your haveing trouble with. My whole system had been modified and I had to go back to square on and figure it out. People bypass systems to save $ and time but leave us to fugure it out. Just some past experiences. I’m not a Prevost expert! Just under fire experience. Bob

I have several large trucks that require maintance ,the rear axel or hub seal seldom needs replacing unless you have or had a brake problum that heated up the seal causing it to harden , harden by old age, or lack of use ,, some good advice is to only use a seal that is from the manufactor or the brand National Seal Almost every time we have used any other brand inc all the big names they just don’t hold up for any amount of time. And aways coat them good with white lube as the spin inside them self so they dont have to turn on the hub as the lube may be lower than hub level.

Maybe the slide HWH Slide adds some weight and the XL ?
