With the Continental 315/80R22.5 tires, it was suggested they owners contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline.

I wonder if they have received any incident reports on the Michelin 365 tires as of yet?

Owners also may contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to http://www.safercar.gov.

My suggestion of vice grips is apparently way off as a solution to compressing these things. I was under the impression you were trying to hold up the door while changing them. I use a vice grip on the shaft of the one not being removed and after I replace the other, it holds the door up while I change the second.

Sorry if I misled you… I find it hard to believe but it is obviously true, that the new ones are minutely longer than the current ones.

I thought that if you got it close that with one appropriate shove, the door would open wide enough to get the end over the ball nuts.

Sorry if I wasted your time on that suggestion.

Sounds like the ATS switch (Automatic transfer switch) is falling. Be careful and remove cover on the ATS switch and if it is a Maverick or any other type they do the same thing, It takes power from the power post or Gen and directs it to the coach, from power post it is quick, from gen there is a delay built in so gen can run for a few before power kicks in just in case AC’s happen to be on or something else with a large amp draw. If a have a volt meter and your careful look at ATS switch when it’s not working rite and you will see 2 large relays and 3 sets of cables coming to it and they will have 4 wires in them 1st Black 120v -2nd Red 120v- 3rd white Neutral 4th Green or copper ground. Start checking at relays from neutral (white) to Black should have 110v plus and the check neutral (white) to red and you should have 110 plus volts, that should be on 1 of the relays top and bottom. Now most likely 1 of the sets of cables will be dead one side (legs) of the wires. Then un plug coach and find out and mark each set of cables (Shore-House-Gen) easy way is to take your 50 amp plug with your volt meter set on OHMS and on plug the flat terminal opposite round ground and check the sets from white to that flat terminal till you see connection and just to be sure check black to the other flat terminals. Mark cable shore. once you’ve determined which cable is dead you will know if it is your plug or ATS switch or down stream from that. If you have any questions call (805) 712-9449

    Jon,

it might just be me, but my personal experience with 3 motorhomes, all with HW50C’s installed is all positive with no issues. Just lucky, I guess.

Thanks. That is the one I am currently looking at. I was unaware of the security cable. That is good to know about since the next post says theft is an issue.

Will advise what is going to happen, Michelin will be out Tuesday to inspect the tire…Look at the outside of the tire and you will see a “bulge” also look at the first groove in the tires and you can see a differance….Then you are not pulling the tires apart to see this, simply putting a couple fingers on it…

All shore power breakers are going to handle 80% of their rating all day long unless there is an issue with resistance from poor or loose connections. So assuming good power supply to the coach 40 amp loads per leg should not be an issue.

However if you are running multiple ACs it is best if they are on separate legs just because if they should both happen to cycle on at the same time the required starting current can spike in excess of the breaker capacity. Also what all who are managing power need to know is what uncontrolled electrical devices are on and what leg they are on. For example if various loads on a leg are drawing the power stated, is that value including the loads that kick on without warning, such as a water pump, aux compressor or water heater?

Hi ThreeGreens, I think I’ll start there. I’ll try to find the step by step guide and try that very thing. Is there a way to spot a leak other then the loss of coolant? Probably a dumb question but thought I’d ask?
